It looks like we probably only need four points to stay up. I would go more attacking at Guiseley and just try and be more positive. When we sit back the team looks nervous.. let's play with a bit of passion, flair and energy. An early goal would be great so let's pick a team with forward players who actually know where the net is!

Based on my 12000 mile pilgrimage to the Stone to watch two 2--1 defeats last weekend then IMHO the team for Guisely should be as follows: Worgan Wynter, De Havilland (assuming he has recovered), Finney Twumasi, Lewis, Richards, Phillips, Wraight (if fit) Luer, Lafayette Subs: Hare, Paxman, Loza, Turgott, Reason This is based on seeing - Anderson exposed and overrun for Daggers first goal - DSY and Lafayette to similar to play in the same line-up - Phillips worked his socks off in both games - Luer looks like he knows where the goal is - Need oome creativity in midfield - And please, for the love of sky fairies, NO MORE HEAD TENNIS! (puts on tin helmet and stands back) No left back? And the reason Anderson was exposed was more down to Turgott neglecting his defensive duties than anything to do with Anderson. Mills had the luxury of a midfielder in front of him who knew how to defend (Flish and BJT). This season when we play 4 at the back, Anderson is constantly up against 2 while Turgott/Loza hang around in the middle third waiting for the ball to come to them. That's why we look more solid with 3 centre backs, and why my lineup futher up the page had a back 5 with Hare as the other centre back.

defence will need a tweak or two latest report is that Will de Havilland is definite to NOT play ! In which case, bring in Hare and put Anderson on the subs bench

I agree in part, but at Daggers on Monday when we played a back 4, as opposed to the recent 3-5-2 Anderson was too far up the field which left him exposed for their first goal where it was obvious from the outset that he was comprehensively going to be passed. My experimental wing back is Wraight who if he is meant to be a Flischer replacement should be up to the job.

Note no trains direct from Leeds to Guiseley due to a landslip. Get a train from Leeds to Shipley (destination Bradford Forster Square, Skipton or Carlisle) then change on to a train for Ilkley - Guiseley will be the second stop.
Depending on timings you may have to wait thick end of half an hour for a connection at Shipley (no infrastructure spend in the north), so you may be best getting a taxi from Shipley station. I'd guess a cost of about a tenner, I'd suggest Baildon Taxis (01274 580159)

Looks like Jay has bottled it with our starting 11 today! Pretty much the only change is Prestedge for Reason! I’m Going to stick by my word and not follow it on Stones live. That will make absolutely no difference to anyone on the planet, but for God sake why DSY and Turgott.... 🤦🏼♂️

Full time 0-0, hit the bar twice and probably should have won but might be a good point at the end of the season, 1 win will probably see us over the line.

So, Stoneslive has us the better side, but we still can't beat what sounded like a very mediocre side. Thank goodness Orient beat Barrow, or we'd really be looking over our shoulder. Sounded like Prestedge had a good game, but the forwards toothless. Again. What do Wraight, Orsei, Coker, Paxman, Richards etc have to do to get a game? To coin the old joke, we are the opposite of the constipated owl that hoots but can't...

Just about to set off for home now after the match, in my opinion we played quite well and in sections we were the better team, but at the end of the day we come away with a point, it could of been worse and we could of had nothing, I still firmly believe we will stay in this league, so onwards an upwards as they say. Let,s get behind the boys for the next game and let us not forget that the other teams are running out of games to overtake us so let,s remain positive no matter how hard that might be for some fans.

This was another 'must win'. Only came away with a draw so does that mean our season is over?

Tim always sits on the fence about results but always "like" posts to agree with the obvious , as a long time supporter of this club can he tell us what he think of our season so far and how he sees us doing in the next remaining matches ?!?.

As soon as I heard that one goal man Delano was starting I knew we weren't gonna win.
How he continues to start every game is beyond me.

You've already made yourself look like a fool several seasons ago with your 'upstairs' comments! You then tried to make it look like a joke! You will again expose yourself for the fool you undoubtedly are! You want my opinion on the remaining fixtures? Ok, I believe we will stay up, if we don't I'll get over it because we have come far further than I thought we would and Jay Saunders has taken us further than most managers have done since I started supporting this club back in the early 70's This has indeed been a crap season but you and several of other 'dummy spitters' wailing on is not going to change anything If we go down, and it's still a big if, 2000plus supporters will be at our first game in the NL south and I hope Jay is still the manager Why? Because we ain't Premier League, 5 season of success against 1 season of failure does not mean the sack However, if he reads some ( well about half a dozen) on here I wouldn't blame him if he walked! Careful what you wish for
