Cheers, porky. I'm guessing my analysis was fairly spot on. At least we chalked a point on the board after the recent run of defeats Pleased to be of service, oh great one........

I went to see Ter Horst play at Folkestone yesterday, but he wasn't even on the bench. It may explain why Invicta lost 1 - 3 against mid-table Harrow Borough, for whom one Charles Banya scored.

Not quite as bad as Herne Bay's result! There was a joke about Herne Bay's result at the panto I went to. They were not too far from the truth.

After 100 years they had a newspaper which they jokingly announced as Bay losing 4-1 or 5-0 or something. They then blew the dust out of it. Maidenhead...ahhh...I have fond memories of someone trying, unsuccessfully, to get in there for free...

Overall I thought Maidenhead shaded the game but we had slightly the better chances so a draw was a fair result. Very subdued atmosphere from our lot and it was defo a penalty for us at the end. I would say that it was not a penalty at the end. The ref was incorrect to book Lewis. He simple lost his footing. It may have been his subsequent claim for a penalty that got him booked though.

It was a clear dive in my opinion. You could see him looking to draw the foul and over he went. Good decision by the referee who I thought had a decent match.

Looked a bit of contact, but Lewis made a real meal of it, which didnt help his cause. He did that a couple of times playing for us. Tough place to get a result. Horrible ground, horrible pitch.

At least the TV replay cleared up any doubt about the penalty incident and subsequent booking.
There was contact with Lewis and no contact with the ball, there was a trip, it was a penalty 100% !
No question, simple decision for the ref, who got it 100% wrong.

For me it was 50/50 for the penalty. How much Lewis tripped over a static leg is debatable. Some refs give them, but rarely, if ever, for Stones it seems. Against us another matter. Not that I'm biased of course.

Yes ref got that penalty shout totally wrong, defender makes no contact with the ball but does with Lewis, perhaps went down a bit easy but then they all seem to these days.
