As good as our away form is, and it is brilliant, our home form is dire. 5 points dropped in 4 days!!. just like last year we are shedding points at home. If we miss the play offs by a couple of points this is where they are going. What do other supporters think is the reason?, The pitch?, when we are unbeaten at Sutton, to much expectation from a noisy home crowd?. any ideas?..

Simply outplayed by a better team tonight and also a weakened side, especially in midfield. Trouble is, the longer it goes on, the more it gets into the players' minds. With reachable away games coming up at Woking, Aldershot, Maidenhead, Dover and D&G, maybe supporters best bet is to go on the road!

It's not just that we're not a good at home, and better away, it's that we're VERY good away and absolute shite at home.
The difference is bizarre:
Home form: 11 3 6 2 - 15 points from a possible 33 (1.4 pts/game)
Away form: 9 6 0 3 - 18 points from a possible 27 (2 pts/game)
Relegation form at home, promotion form away.
How the hell does anyone explain that?!

This is all part of a master plan to finish 7th and ensure that all of our potential play-offs before the Wembley final will be played away from home!

Despite the claims of a noisy home crowd I think the home crowd is a bit apathetic with a lot of people there that are not that committed. The away crowd is full of people well up for it, generally creating a better, more positive atmosphere. The players respond to it.

Thought we started brightly, fell behind to one of those horrible flukes you can't do anything about, but it was Reece's mistake that killed us. Too many key players missing highlighting your lack of strength in depth. Second half they were just to strong as both Jamar and Zavon faded leaving Pigs isolated. Richards looked decent when he came on, but apart from that, not may positives from the second half. Didn't think it was a penalty for the 4th but Magnus' reaction convinced the ref to give it. Overall a night to forget, but that's football. Having read Oliver's blog, finishing outside the playoffs wouldn't be the worst outcome we could have.

Just listened to Jay's post match interview Apart from not really having a go at individual players (too many of them), his summing up was spot on Example - "Heads went down and they gave up" No bright spots but our manager is as honest and on the ball as ever Seems like we have far too many injuries and players lacking of match fitness (Hines, Loza) - a contributing reason to the debacle of BW MoM for me was Worgs - crazy that our best player was the keeper when you lose 0-4

Great to hear Jay's honest and forthright response to last night, together with a gentle reminder of how stretched the squad is at the moment. Can't imagine it will be nine away wins in a row, but with Delano and Jai back on Saturday, who knows. The home form is so disappointing because that is where most clubs get more points and we are very arse about face currently. By the by, while BW's manager seemed a decent sort (even heard to give a 'well done' to Magnus at one point), his side kick was a very different matter. Effing and blinding, thumping the dug out roof and complaining the whole game. Told several times to calm down by the fourth official and eventually the ref too. Probably best mates with their keeper, who was more than happy to give it back to the EE. Small moments of interest in an otherwise dull evening!

Do we really want or need promotion form this season? Much as I want to win every single game home and away, avoiding relegation two years running and consolidating club infrastructure really would be a fantastic achievement. A lucrative cup run would be the cherry on the cake.

Did I imagine it or did he stop and walk the other way (and pretty much tell the ref it was a penalty) when the ball was still on the pitch? I agree we seemed to start ok but brightly would be a bit more than I would give it. I thought we seemed to lack any real teamwork from the start. There was moments when someone made a good run but it ended in nothing.
