It’s amazing that teams are now parking the bus against the mighty maidstone! And their manager isn't even Portuguese!

Who is this Red who is making decisions for Finney?? That melee, which was entirely Chester's fault, ended up with just a single yellow for them, but TWO for us! OK, there was a lot of handbags going on, but the standard of refereeing and assisting was awful. He came horribly close to losing the game completely. For me Delano I’m particular was trying to diffuse and save the joke that is James from getting a red, and for his efforts he gets booked. The ref made a howler of a decision not to give a corner early in the game to is and everyone protested from that moment he was biased against us. Delano didn't get booked. Seth and Finney got carded for us and James for them.

Personally I didn't think we were ALL THAT superior. Certainly we looked pretty threatening at times down the wings, but without much end product.
I can't really though recall us having all that much serious possession (ie getting the ball on the ground and stringing a few passes together), on the other hand Chester actually seemed to be quite adept at holding the ball up in front of our back four (who thankfully were pretty solid) - for me I'd have liked to see Reece come on just a little earlier to break that up and perhaps give us a bit more time on the ball.
But sometimes you just have to soldier on and ride your luck which is exactly what we did. We could quite easily have come away on the wrong side of a 1-0 scoreline (and this time last year we probably would have).
Individually I think both Lewis and Reason had decent games but despite that it felt to me like we didn't really have a midfield, we need to learn from this one imho.
But as for the roar for the goal, yep that was probably the biggest sense of relief / release of frustration that I've encountered at JWW.

Correct Mr u and to be fair the ref got those spot on, we could easily have seen a red brandished to Lewis who started the melee by appearing to try and rake his studs down the Chester player who was lying on the ball. Sadly once again game ruined by so many so called fans just abusing our own players constantly for 90 minutes, they spout more crap than 60,00 Manchester United fans.

My wife and daughter were waiting by the car at county hall at ten to five. For some reason they prefer to go shopping to watching the stones. They said the roar they heard when we scored sounded like they were in the ground with us! 😀 I will admit to a small profanity escaping my normally pure lips at that moment...

We certainly struggled to break Chester down I think we played well as individuals but struggled to have a plan B omce they stifled our game. I also think the refs performance didn’t help to that end and considering Chester were quite physical we struggle to match that side of the game

Certainly frustration at refereeing decisions and some of the Chester tactics With the North End being so quiet yesterday, and from my vantage point at the back of that stand, the disapproving individual shouts of the various Statler & Waldorfs were certainly noticeable

The highlights are up early! But no handbags, which was the most exciting part of the match for the first 95 minutes. Is this a club rule, not to show bad behaviour, or is it in case there is an FA enquiry? How are we to test DaveU's eyesight without it?
