I must be missing something somewhere, but how does having flags not restrict the view of people behind? You just cannot help yourself can you. Move away from your little seat up in the stand against the wall, in to the new stand an there the shared passion is all about cheering on the team, singing shouting waving scarfs etc etc. Now IF some people want an view not blocked by this new banner they have 2 options either move to the sides on the new stand or join you in the happy clappy section. Now why am I not surprised that you couldn't actually come up with a sensible answer to a reasonable question.

I must be missing something somewhere, but how does having flags not restrict the view of people behind? Fair question, I believe the flags will only really be waved during the start of the game when players come out etc and towards the end. As for the banner it will be raised above our heads when the players come out so I suggest moving if you want to see that then it will be either put at the front along barrier or at the back, we will make sure no ones view is impeded. We want to see the game as much as you.

Well done for taking the initiative which will benefit & enhance the match experience for supporters. I'm pleased to make a contribution - I'm sure many others will also, just visit www.gofundme.com/mufc-flag-and-banner How about the supporters group collecting for that much talked about Scoreboard? - not sure why it didn't materialise last season, but maybe lack of a sponsor/funding bearing inmind how much was spent on the other ground improvements? So, put your hand in your pocket and support these initiatives - COYS! - all together now!

I think that collections, go fund me pages and wip arounds are a really good way to connect fans and the club. Just hope the club accepts them.
Many thanks for everyones donations, raised £200 out of the £300 so far. Great to see fans coming together. I really believe this will benefit our team and the atmosphere next season. I really can not wait! COYS!

So I'm a killjoy simply for asking a question about the practicality of using flags and banners. Nothing against the idea in principle, but you need to consider how you're going to avoid the possibility of restricting the view of people behind you. If that makes me a killjoy them so be it.

You may not be able too put a banner over the barrier as it restricts the advertising because people pay the club, to have them seen by the supporters. You could put it at the back of the stand until they complete the montage. What you need to do is get everybody in the stand too wear a Black or Amber shirts, then get them to stand in a designated place so,the words you require for display are spelt out for all to see by the other three sides.(just like they do with the seats)

Just on this, I follow one of the York fans who organises a lot of the flags and banners for their displays. It may be useful to contact him, or someone similar, as I'm sure someone who's been doing it for a number of years will have some input and advice on the practicalities of it all. His page is: www.pictaram.com/user/bobbinsoncrusoe/408276841
