Would have taken a point before the game. We definitely looked a little rusty and Sutton were the better side for most of the game, especially first half. How it ended only 1-1 is anybody's guess as both sides looked dodgy at the back. New stand looked great and it was a cracking atmosphere from both sets of supporters.

1st half we were off the pace. 17days without a game and it showed. I thought we were much improved 2nd half and were unlucky not to win it. Thought Lokko looked really good tonight.

The stand is great. But with the atmosphere in there you couldn't here a thing of the players, Sutton supporters, announcements etc, etc.

New stand is just magnificent! Thanks to Terry and Oliver for everything they've done - but especially this.
As predicted - TE became the away end!
Disappointing game - made even more so by DSY's goals at Braintree ('ironic' doesn't do this justice!). Given the few real chances we created and Sutton's defending in depth, I thought we were lucky to get away with a draw (heart-stopping pen - what was he doing?!!). Mistake to start with Oakley, he was clearly not match fit. With Flish starting we could have won it.
Nearly 3,000 on a Tuesday night! I think we'll break the 3,000 barrier before the end of the season. But already we've comfortably jumped Eastleigh into 8th place in the non-league attendance table - and 5th in the National!
Woking was a must-win before this, now it's a absolutely MUST win game!
One last thought - engrossed in the game, you glance to the right and see that stand packed with supporters, and it's just beyond words...

First half we were a bit flat and looked a little rusty, 17 days off can do that but second half we were much improved and could have nicked it in the end but a point after going down to an OG is something that probably wouldn't have happened a few months ago. Must say was really impressed with the new stand, excellent views and atmosphere was great, it felt like I was in a proper football ground, well done the owners. Great attendance for a Tuesday night game.

Some people will always pick fault and never be happy. I'm very happy! Just struck me as odd that they couldn't get the PA right. It's not rocket science.

The PA was oddly poor in there, and not just because of the crowd/noise - very quiet and tinny. Funnily enough the PA on the riverside was much better than usual. Might just be a "mixing desk" problem, so worthwhile reporting back to the club. I've had some ocassions to moan at sound engineers about levels before and oftentimes they don't know until someone tells them, their setup tests in an empty auditorium give very different results that those experienced in the live environment.

Poor game from both sides I thought, but until Flish came on they definitely shaded it, simply by showing more competence.
Flish turned the game and after that I thought there was really only one team in it - a toss up for me on MoM between Flish & Prestedge (who I thought did an awesome amount of "tidying up").
I'm sure some posts from a mere few weeks ago speculating on Flish's future with the club would be very interesting to re-read!
Baffled by the crowd numbers though - I can't understand how there were less people in the ground tonight than the last few home games!
Disappointing performance tonight from Delano obviously, although I'm happy with the Eastleigh result - I think it's York & Torquay that we need to stay above.
I still think it would be bonkers to select Delano to play against us on Saturday, but that decision just got a whole lot harder I suspect.

Oh and BRILLIANT turn of phrase in the official match report on our website :
"The referee, Mr Whitton, felt that Loza had been tripped in the box by Kevin Amankwaah"

Not sure if Jay is planning on putting Magnus in the starting line up tomorrow or not but I would say he could well be a requirement v Woking. Woking best striker is (as we saw when we played them at the Gallagher) Ugwu and he is powerful and dominant in the air ..... that's where we will need Magnus to negate Ugwu's strengths. With respect to Coyley I think his best game is reading the play and defending on the ground, he's not greatest in the air. And Kev, whilst good in the air, is relatively inexperienced (especially compared to Magnus) and would also benefit from Magnus's leadership and vocality. (Although, as others have said, I think it'd be harsh to drop Coyley as despite having his critics I think he's defended very well for us in the main). Such a wise post this one, made more so by how the Sutton game panned out. IMHO we've wasted the 2 week mini break by not 'activating' the beast & getting him match fit. Heaven help our centrebacks against Ugwu and a revved up DSY.

Lokko played really well last night and easy to think Magnus should play on Saturday. However, we don't know what is going on in training and can only assume others are not impressing enough yet. That said, there appears to be real quality warming the bench and often not even getting a kick. BJT, McCarthy, Magnus, etc. Jay can be a bit reluctant to use all his sub's at times, especially early enough, so with so many games in a short time, that will become ever more important. Would not be surprised to see Flisher start on Saturday (looking a lot fitter now) and much as I like Loza, is his final ball as good as BJT's? A bit of both maybe? Of the middle three, all run their socks off, but Paxman the one usually subbed. Not quite as much stamina yet? Who'd be a manager?
