Anyone know what date work starts on the North stand? Will it be the morning after we dump Rochdale out of the FA Cup?

Already started - look closely at the Library End next game and you'll notice that no one moves, everyone is dressed for summer and there are no black faces...

What will the temporary capacity be? I can foresee a fair few all-ticket games.
Shame the module terracing could not have been used down the river side of the pitch.

What will the temporary capacity be? I can foresee a fair few all-ticket games. Shame the module terracing could not have been used down the river side of the pitch. Not unless we really have turned the corner and start winning home games! Our current capacity (with the Library End terracing) is just over 3,000, so losing that terrace should take us down to around 2,500 - which is more than enough to cope with our usual home crowd. And that assumes that official capacity is measured strictly by actual capacity (i.e. how many you can cram in) - it's actually measured, as far as I can make out, on the basis of how many you can evacuate quickly if you need to. So, with the extra turnstiles, etc put in to bring the capacity up to 3,000 still being in use, maybe the drop in capacity will be less than we expect? At a glance, you'd think that the terrace modules could be used down the river side (which would be the ideal solution), but if you stand at the river/north end corner, it's obvious that the terracing wouldn't fit. You could just about squeeze it in, but there'd be no space left in front - and I believe that space has to be wide enough to get emergency vehicles down. It's a shame we couldn't have made the ground just a couple of metres wider, but maybe they will be able to do that one day and then reuse those modules. (Warning - someone will mention the mythical 'gas main' at this point!)

www.pitchero.com/clubs/maidstoneunitedfc/news/bring-the-stones-home-409586.htmlIt is a water main, a large one that supplies most of the town. Have a quick read and it's there in black and white. It's not mythical, it's real, it exists. The existing site is narrow and has restrictions imposed by existing services and access requirements by the local authority. On the western edge of the site there is a water main which serves a large part of Maidstone. At the same time vehicular access needs to be retained for access to maintain the Millennium footbridge to Whatman Park.
For those that can't be bothered to read the article the main paragraph is above in blue

Along the river side of the ground. If they need to get to it the river side will be dug up. Am I the only person that ever payed attention at any of the earlier supporters meetings. Jehovah give me strength
