senna, you make the same old point about the Stones getting a rough deal from referees it repeats itself in posts time and time again (especially when we lose) only stacks up if you believe the most outlandish conspiracy theories still just to be agreeable, yes the referee was against us (again) if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, yes, if the season finished today and all that, but it doesn't and it hasn't so apart from poor defending, slow to the ball, poor finishing, lacking energy etc, was this still a decent performance ? don't think so, it was miles away from the level of performance that secures a play-off place hopefully just a blip expect a much better performance and 3 points next Saturday Assuming you were at the game yesterday, do you feel the referee was partial? I don't agree we defended poorly, couldn't finish. But we were not as good as last weekend. Consesous seems to be Sweeney harshly treated and with 11 on he pitch we would have won and be having different conversations

Having looked at the amazingly insightful logic put forward by Mr Senna, I am now in complete agreement with every word he has said. Please can he inform the rest of us how he manages to be completely right every time?

Did the assistant give it or not? Yes, 100%. And to say there was no reaction from either player is typical of what I've read on this thread from people who weren't there. Is that the people who weren't there who only have a few seconds of video to go on?

Anyway, how did Dumaka do? The OS match report doesn't mention him and I don't recall the Stones Live commentators mentioning him much either. And, while I'm at it - why was Paxman taken off? Ahem. Anyone?

Anyone? DD had good touches however the understanding with banya in paticular wasn't that great, equally with pax. As have-not were quicker to the ball pax was dropping deeper, so assume the decision to sub was tactical to try and push up the field

The last time i was wrong was in 1987, but if I'm honest, it was more of a misunderstanding than a mistake

Ant - I wasn't there yesterday.
Surely it can't have been as bad as the Basingstoke match ( Away).

Strange you criticise other fans for blaming the ref when we lose, when your earlier post did exactly that. Still won't moan to you about that inconsistency, it is the prerogative of all devoted supporters. Yes, the debacle of the final minutes was appalling but your perspective of the previous 90 minutes is a shade generous. Again your reference to "we only lost to poor finishing" What sort of point is that ? It's not any sort of excuse Poor finishing is what we do, time and time again, it is part of the team's DNA Overall, our level of performance was not at the required standard to get us over the line for the play offs, and that includes defending and putting away chances. Simply below par Not the end of the World but let's hope for a better performance next Saturday Still think you are in the running for the PR job ! So I blamed the ref for our loss did I? Care to look back and see what I actually said rather than just cherry pick to try and start a forlorn argument. Which, based on fact, you will be made to look silly. The idea that we played really badly over the 90mins is a shade ungenerous. Now to your complaint about 'we only lost to poor finishing'. Hang on you have complained that I blamed the ref. Now you are complaining that I blamed poor finishing. What were you saying about inconsistency? Which one do you wish to choose as the reason I gave and then subsequently complain about? On the point that we do poor finishing time and time again. Maybe I was pointing out the obvious but it is the obvious. Finish poorly and it will cost you. I might tactfully suggest that if poor finishing was one of the factors costing us the game we must have created chances and that suggests that we didn't play that poorly over the 90mins (other than finishing). For me there are people on this thread that have remembered the time after the sending off and the last minutes capitulation and forgotten that we looked fairly comfortable prior to that despite, apparently, playing appallingly/the worst ever etc etc.

Just to make the sarcasm complete can you show us where, prior to your posting, anyone said we defended poorly (that does not include you saying it) or said we lacked energy. I don't think myself or senna has said this was a decent performance. Saying it was not appalling or the worst first half ever is a little different to saying it was decent. It was mediocre to average but not appalling. Just so I can understand. Did you attend the game?
