Strange you criticise other fans for blaming the ref when we lose, when your earlier post did exactly that. Still won't moan to you about that inconsistency, it is the prerogative of all devoted supporters. Yes, the debacle of the final minutes was appalling but your perspective of the previous 90 minutes is a shade generous. Again your reference to "we only lost to poor finishing" What sort of point is that ? It's not any sort of excuse Poor finishing is what we do, time and time again, it is part of the team's DNA Overall, our level of performance was not at the required standard to get us over the line for the play offs, and that includes defending and putting away chances. Simply below par Not the end of the World but let's hope for a better performance next Saturday Still think you are in the running for the PR job !

Just another statistic to prove that Havent are no pushovers they have 26 points from home games and Ebbsfleet have 25. If there away record was as good they would be up there with us. Food for thought.

Havant highlights are up. Couldn't believe Callum Davies miss at the time, and watching now backs that up :-( . Dan Sweeney was very unfortunate to be even booked, never mind sent off. First one he won the ball first, second one, he never touched the 10 . Link here link

nws obviously shared the same pair of spectacles today. If that was a good performance, I would hate to see a bad one. Please don't tell me you have seen worse this season! We got the result we deserved today. Firstly its "Senna" not "Sinna". There was a Frenchman once who said / pronounced as "Sinna", and he was called Jean Marie Balestre, a complete cock snogging wanker, who was bent, corrupt, and impartial, who the whole of Brazil hated and still do, not to mention large swathes of the rest of the world.
Anyway, back to football, can you explain the logistics of me and NWS sharing the same spectacles?
Are we looking through them at the same time, or taking in turns? If the latter, how could we both share the same opinion of the game as we would not have both watched it.
And can you explain how yesterdays performance was worse than Basingstoke away, giving sound logic, factual basis to your argument.

Mr NWS. I had the same view of our performance when we were winning. So you are a fair weather supporter then stonepaperscissors.
Unbeleivable, you must be one of the main stand prawn sandwich brigade, who only cheer win we are winning (if we are lucky), and predominantly moan and bitch at players. Do you use the saying "put a shift in"?

so nws, you don't think that was a poor performance today you are either very easily pleased or Daveu has infected you with his positive thinking or you are applying for the club PR job Not at all nick. We were not appalling. We could have been better but we were not appalling. Even someone on their website has recognised that we were in control of the game until the sending off. Where we were appalling was our capitulation in belief and yardage after the sending off. Up until then they had been limited to very little despite us losing Coyle. In respect of your invitation to apply for the club PR job I will respectfully suggest that you are being drawn into the world of prem-style support that seems to be infecting things. Every time we lose it is the worst performance/worst ref etc etc there has ever been. It really wasn't that bad and while we could play better we just lost on the day thanks to poor finishing, a weak referee and opponents that belied their position in the table. If the shot that hit the post and rolled into the keepers hands had gone in, different game. Fine lines...

And potentially the end of the dream of catching Ebbsfleet. Glad you said "potentially" my friend, if he is out, he is still a voice in the dressing room, and I believe we can reorganise to address the hole, certainly technically. And a very good point earlier whoever said Driver was knackered after having been kicked around the park. The protection form the ref was none existent.

The performance was not as energetic as Stortford.
Yes, Havant were quicker to the ball, but the referee in the first 45 gave us nothing, assumed his arm blew with the wind.
Are you seriously telling me that, if the season finished today, 3rd is not acceptable for this club in the first promotion year?

senna, you make the same old point about the Stones getting a rough deal from referees it repeats itself in posts time and time again (especially when we lose) only stacks up if you believe the most outlandish conspiracy theories still just to be agreeable, yes the referee was against us (again)
if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, yes, if the season finished today and all that, but it doesn't and it hasn't
so apart from poor defending, slow to the ball, poor finishing, lacking energy etc, was this still a decent performance ? don't think so, it was miles away from the level of performance that secures a play-off place hopefully just a blip expect a much better performance and 3 points next Saturday
