Agree with all apart from the playoffs.
Until injuries kicked in we were title contenders last year, so with a bit of tinkering and luck with injuries we should be up there. Yes Margate are assembling an expensive squad but they're not unstoppable.
Not seen anything of JM since he left here last time, but I think he could be the perfect foil for Frannie.
Will be confusing with 2 Jays tho, can we call him stock cube or something instead?

I don't think any of the criticisms are aimed directly at the players. It's just that we all spent last season watching a lot of teams dominate our midfield and a lot of huff and puff (and very little pace) up front. To turn draws into wins wins we need to do things differently from last season. I don't want a team filled with hard working utility players - which is very much jay's way - let's get a specialist centre mid and a pacey forward!

But we have seen him before, and I have to say wasn't that impressed plus he looked a bit disinterested alot of the time However, I haven't seen him play for a while and he is undoubtedly joining a better side than his previous spell, and he might just be just be the right partner for Frannie So we should get behind behind him and wish him well However, I do tend to agree with a previous poster our network doesn't appear to be that wide! I also get the hump that if anyone has a different opinion to the 'amber tints' they're told to stop moaning, this is an unoffical message board to discuss opinions, not a medium of propaganda for Jay and the club! Have a moan if and when he turns out to be rubbish, not before he's even kicked a ball. Who in their right mind would want to come and play for a club where they get slated within minutes of their signing being announced?

So Jay signs a couple of players who were players of the season at their respective clubs. He also signs a twenty something defender with over 200 appearances ( mostly in the league above) and a forward who was a regular in a team that made the play offs in the league above.
And we're not happy?
For the record I saw Jay May in the play off semi first leg and he was the stand out Bromley player for me and caused the Ebbsfleet defence a lot of problems, a very good signing in my opinion.
Also I seem to remember Zac was brought in for his hold up play more than his goal scoring ability, another terrible signing by Jay?

Some interesting signings; squad nicely strengthened; I think we should be targetting Top 3 this season - either champs or a home play off semi should be on if we get the necessary luck

Have I missed the central midfielder signing? Really don't fancy Phillips and Parkinson to run the show! Without a proven addition - definitely someone who's done it several leagues above - I can't see any real improvement from last season. Or have I missed something?

The only thing you have missed is the fact that we're still in May!

Missed the central midfield signing ? I might be wrong but wasnt the guy we signed from Dover (James Rogers?) a midfielder ?
Another whos played a lot of football in the top end of the higher league.
Must be rubbish i guess. ;-)

The fact is everyone was expecting a striker and we got a center forward not the same at all. The Jay Saunders way is to get the ball forward quickly for a big strong forward for others to work off . Jay may fits that style of play perfectly he will bully defenders around and Frannie will have so much more space and time because of it. To have two striker's we would need a very creative pacy midfield and be able to dominate sides I meen king and bouth together never worked out.

Pretty damn sure that Rogers is (and always has been) a left midfield/defender. Not sure if you've seen Parkinson play but he ain't no central midfielder... A prerequisite is the ability to hold onto and accurately pass the ball. He's a decent centre back though. Anyway these are my opinions and as a ticket paying fan I just want something better than last season. Be honest there was some pretty average performances last season.
