would like to see someone like Luis Cumbers come back, arguably one of the best loan signings we ever had That was a very long time ago 2007. Cumbers has probably had his day now.We need a fully fit striker ,an experienced 20-30 goal a season man ,i doubt there is anyone suitable at this level. Id go Charlie Sheringham i think he just might drop to RPL,as he loves a big crowd .

Last I heard of Luis was at tonbridge but injured or regaining fitness. Not even sure he's played for them. A fit Luis would be good especially with the higher level experience he's had.

They said he was signed to score goals to keep them up,didn't work did it?,so why do you think we should gamble? ,we are not desperate. We need fully fit players not someone returning from a serious injury,a 20-30 goals a season type player ,rookies, and the not fully fit should not apply, this is one position Jay has to get right after losing Zac.

Fair enough pmh, didn't realise he had played cos through lack of fitness. As you say if he's not firing on all cylinders then your right, its a no no. I'm not necessarily after ex stones, just we've seen the quality that was cumbers.

Fair do's matey, i rated him after his brief stay in 2007.He was a full pro footballer then .
Jay has to get this right ,promotion may depend on it ,Frannies good for goals and lots we know that, Harris looks more confident and sharper since his loan out, hopefully he will use his size and strength to better potential he could be a real handfull this season. We still need proven experienced quality players for cover for Fran and someone who can notch loads in there own right, thats not easy to find or cheap.
Margates 800 pw for ZA good prove cheap and decent business.

+ the major competition for players in the south east at this level must be a headache for jay aswell as other managers.

+ the major competition for players in the south east at this level must be a headache for jay aswell as other managers. id doubt if there is any one at this level who is still available that can do a good strikers job for us. We must look higher. We need to look at the Wealdstone example and sign ex Football league strikers ,after failing twice in the playoffs i think they learned the hard way.

I thought that was what we did last year in signing Frannie, who out scored Scott McGleish in the 2013/14 season, so maybe the lessons are to be learned elsewhere

Think we missed a trick with Tom Bradbrook! Still say Jefferson Louis would be a good shout after his release by Margate. I realise he is older but still scores bagfulls at this level Not sure if hes signed for anyone yet tho?
Can we nab that Moone fella from Hampton? One of the top scorers Purcell from Hornchurch? All proven at Ryman Prem
Ademola released by Dover too? Hes a top player

Maybe not Ademola, but that's the level we should be looking at...players who were at the business end of the league above

Whilst there's no doubting how well Cumbers did for us all those years ago, we need someone who will work well with Frannie. Frannie needs someone to play off, it's no coincidence that he wears no 10! Jefferson Louis would be ideal, we don't necessarily need anyone long term just get to us out of this league! If not him I hope its someone similar, ie big strong direct who can beat up the odd centre back!

Given that we're about to sign a striker, we may be able to accommodate another. Who would be your choice? Would Pullman or golding be up to this league? Pullman has signed for Whitstable. Real shame.. Think Pullman would be brilliant for us. But jay knows his football, hopefully a striker with a proven record of goals
