Luke Moore is a fantastic signing for them ,Margate seem to have all the Strikers ,in contrast we have not signed one ,but have lost one.
Margates wedge must be substantial for a player to drop from L2 to the RPL ,Moore was a full pro at AFCW they must be covering that full time wage as im sure Moore would of had offers from teams in the three leagues above this.
Only thing i can think of is that Jay is waiting for someone. Some might say no rush but the decent ones get snapped up quick.
Start saving Hankies for Margit its gonna end in tears ,in two to five years it will all go POP.

Keeping all 4 strikers happy, other than in their pockets, is going to be a challenge

Keeping all 4 strikers happy, other than in their pockets, is going to be a challenge Four Strikers is norm, especially for a team hoping to challenge,Brown has been in this league he knows the pitches will get heavier and the challenge and tackles flying in on his "fancy Dans" will get even heavier . I hope we have at least four Strikers,One of ours is still learning .

It all looks good on and off the field for Margate. Pressure will be on to perform. TB has been there and done it, as have some of the players.
It's ok having 11players, but they need to gel.
Margate will be up there next season.
I have met the chairman and I am sure he is in for the long haul.
Come on you blues!

Cheers for that link, that really is an insight into a looneys mind,i think ill call him" looney bobby" from now on. I think LB has read OTU's comment about the state of the ground,i'd love to see this fella build a 400-500 million pound stadium like Southampton's and Brightons, but he has to find the first 1000 fans to go in it .Last time they were promoted to the Conference Prem they barely had 1k. His spend will get them too the conference easy enough, then it will take more than he has, to get further. What LB forgets is Southampton and Brighton are prosperous economic cities ,Margate is a run down old seaside town that should of been closed down years ago,i'm aware of a mini regeneration ,most visit the tate and drive away quickly. Margates a slum ,his comments of catchment area will be confined to the town ,ask someone from the Canterbury area about Margate and they will think you are swearing at them. With the HS2 train London will always be well under an hour away.

but he has to find the first 1000 fans to go in it .Last time they were promoted to the Conference Prem they barely had 1k. We could barely scrape 1k in the Football league last time we were promoted there. It's all irrelevant. Margates a slum ,his comments of catchment area will be confined to the town ,ask someone from the Canterbury area about Margate and they will think you are swearing at them. A bit like Maidstone. Slumy in some areas, not to bad in others. Although I agree about the catchment area, didn't they merge with Ramsgte to form Thanet Utd & that failed. Unfortuntely for them I think East Kent is deepest darkest Cricket Country. With the HS2 train London will always be well under an hour away. It's the HS1

It's the HS1 It is relevant, thats one of the main reasons why we ultimately failed,a tiny fan base not helped by the fact that we went in to exile. Luton spent six years in the CP but you always knew that with a fanbase of nearly 7k they would get back to the League. This season im waiting for Braintree,Welling or Dover to be relegated ,could be all three they have barely 1k fans .

Which ever club becomes the focus of everyone's attention due to financial backing, there will always be bitching from other supporters. If this had happened to Maidstone eveyone would be saying exactly the same. Get over yourselves and only start ripping the piss when a) Margate fail to perform on the pitch & b) when and if Bob Laslett walks away leaving an unsustainable future.
Good luck Maidstone in your quest for promotion.........via the play-offs!

The next Southampton? You mean spiralling debts with a board who don't care about the club, with everyone deserting them like fleas leaving a sinking rat?
