Perhaps a £5 membership scheme with addresses and contact details. This can add a layer after season ticket holders and general sale, and can also mean post codes can be tracked in future and a quick email out saying "if you want a ticket, we will reserve one for 48 hours, please call and pay it and we will post it". I reckon, if you did it now, people would pay it and it would pay for the extra admin too. Gives those living away from the town, working, half a chance and it isn't as expensive as a season ticket which is not feasible for many. It is obviously open to being taken advantage of. We could offer bundles of 5 tickets to be used at any league game. People like me would buy that, as there is a chance we'd make 5. Record our contact details, the do your 48 hours thing. Maybe the iMUSC could save these ideas for the next owner fan forum.

I have known non league clubs sell tickets for big games at home games within the ground. Except we don’t have any home games before Coventry. Has the Weymouth match been postponed then?

Impossible to please everyone when there are fewer tickets than people wanting them - and not enough time/resources to do a better job. Also, we are a small club, often relying on volunteer help, who very rarely has to cope with these sort of situations.
That isn't to say it couldn't have been handled better (eg consideration given to people who work or live at distance, vouchers printed on selected programmes, proof of attending away games, etc).
But it also has to be pointed out that a solution to most of the problems would be for supporters to buy season tickets. If you can't be bothered to show your loyalty to the club by having a ST, you can't really complain if you can't get a ticket to games like this.
And imagine the difference it would make to running the club if they got the money for 2-3000+ season tickets at the beginning of each season.

(I am, of course, aware that there are perfectly loyal fans who can't afford a ST, or who can't attend many games. This isn't a total solution, but there must be plenty of regular attendees who have missed out of FAC tickets, but could have afforded a ST.)

There is no way that Terry and Oliver would charge sponsors for a ticket,I would assume that it either comes out of club funds or out of their own pockets. I have been around football for 50 years i know how things work. What is a few hundred pounds in free tickets compared to £1000's of pounds in future investment. They have to. It’s FA rules. To be honest I don’t know why you still claim to support the club since you clearly detest everything about it. I'm glad you have your ticket Dave perhaps you can wave it in front of the fans that were not so lucky. I no longer count myself as a regular supporter for various reasons but I will wager I see more games in the future than 2500 fans that go to Coventry.

Sword 🗡️ . You will see the game on Telly. No need to be bitter. Accept February 26 as your fate with the stoicism of your forefathers.

As i write this at 03.52 I would like to put on record my thanks to Davinia Reid who has made available 11 tickets in the Coventry home end which I will pass on to those fans, genuine fans, that have missed out but before you ask they are all accounted for.Davinia and I have been friends for many years though in her heart she is truly a Stourbridge fan which is where i first met her,for the record it was Stourbridge vs Redditch in 1983 ,a 2-2 draw.

You might want to not publicise that too much. Coventry are actively preventing away fans in the home areas.
