Poor game and a point more than we deserved in the end. Should have been 3-0 up before the injury, but not direct enough. It seems that it is the mediocre sides who cause us more trouble. Gawd knows why because we should have given them the run around and put the game to bed. Instead we gave them far too much space and they could and maybe should have won.

First half we weren’t bad and first 10 minutes of the second. The last half an hour is best forgotten. Too many players looking tired. Same Corne and Lamar Reynolds in particular look like they need to be rested. No bite in midfield after the break and Hemel did just what they wanted.
And why was the organisation of the stretcher so shambolic. It should have been clear after a couple of minutes that the player wasn’t going to be able to make his own way off the pitch. The medical staff shouldn’t have let their players try to help him up. Sunday League standard from both sides. Hope he’s ok and ends up with nothing more than a nasty headache.

Echos might thoughts as well. I do find it quite frustrating to watch when we score and then sit back and invite them on. I can understand doing it against top teams like Yeovil and Torquay but not against the likes of Hemel Hempstead and Braintree when we should be trying to batter them. Putting the FA Cup results to one side, I havn't really enjoyed many league games this season because we seem to adopt these tactics for every game and its no great to watch.

We are not a team who thrashed many, we win a lot of our wins by one goal. I think this shows good organisation but it is quite a conservative approach.
Today, we should have wrapped it up but in hanging in there, Hemel definitely deserved a draw and you could argue they deserved to win.
7 out 9 points this week was a good return. I think I predicted 5 and as usual, this was the one win I had in my mind.

Playing three at the back puzzles me. When Brown goes forward (for instance), no one drops back, which leaves us very exposed. And with 5 in midfield, it gets too crowded at times - we're tripping over ourselves.
Also, the so-called forwards are far too often playing deep in the midfield - their job is to be at the front, ready to recieve the ball, not in the middle of the pitch, trying to win the ruddy ball. Who are they going to pass too - themselves??
Dave is right about the injury. It was obvious he was badly hurt, he was lying too still - possibly unconscious, yet the ref's reaction was very slow. Then they tried to pick him up when he couldn't even stand - the guy clearly needed proper medical attention asap, but they just faffed about. And the strecher was not only late but far too small.
I dread to think what would happen if someone swallowed their tongue or had heart failure - where seconds matter and immediate medical attention is vital.

We dropped to 4th, and a couple more lost opportunities like this and we're out of the playoffs.

Its mad that this game is actually segregated, Hemel never bring many fans. Segregation for just 32 fans, what a waste of time.

I must admit I'm wondering what Reynolds does (apart from wonder goal at Ipswich) to now get selected to start every match and never substituted. He's ok going forward but a complete liability when defending. And let's be honest dukku is pretty poor, and ok as an FA cup decoy, but isn't the right quality. Hopefully we can put this second half behind us and get playing again

As I have said elsewhere the tactic seems to be score and then defend it- doesn't make good watching. I would hope that with the issues at Taunton, and there thrashing today, that we go for it and get a decent score.

We attracted hundreds of new fans due to the FA Cup run. The families turned up for Yeovil and didn’t return. The low IQ teens pretending to be hard are growing in number and confidence. They’ve had a setback this week, losing their Facebook monopoly. But they are going to cause problems long term if not nipped in the bud. Although the Hemel fans had their number singing “we saw you run from the Yeovil”.

Saw one of them hiding near Week Street after the Yeovil game. The same one photographed by Yeovil fans flashing messages on his phone at them. The same one visibly abusing away fans on the highlights. The same one banned from the new Facebook group, after giving his full name. He would be wise to lie low for a while, and never attend a Yeovil game again. But wisdom is not their dominant personality trait.
