Over 3,000 in attendance Saturday, good atmosphere, rival supporters got on well enough, no segregation.
Whats not to like !

Hopefully we can all enjoy lots more matches like Saturday, without segregation and Star security creating a hostile environment.

The only tiny problem on Saturday was a dozen 11 year olds near the end moving to where the away fans were, followed by a steward. Everyone ignored them and they went back down the front. If they didn’t come in with a parent, they must be members and known to the club.
I would like to see stewards toughen up a bit and block them. The wet wipes certainly wouldn’t get past me if I chose to stop them. And if you’re going to stop the prat in a hat, mean it by not keep letting him sneak back along the front. If we want to move towards desegregation, the stewards have to show they can control the area.

Given it was the last game, I expected more home fans on Saturday. 3,000+ is pretty good - I'm happy with that. It actually fills the ground nicely as well, without the overcrowding and poor sightlines you get at 4,000. And, just to nitpick, it wasn't the last game - and there can't have been many fans who didn't know that. It will be interesting to see how many we get Wednesday. You could argue it's a bigger game that Saturday - and, given Aveley's record against us, it actually could be our last game! Almost certainly our last home game, anyway. If this game was on a Saturday, I think you'd be looking at well over 3,000, but we don't usually do well for midweek gates, so who knows? |

Should be a bumper crowd Wednesday, not much in the way of TV games (big champions league knockout games always see a dip in our attendances. Be interesting to see how many Aveley bring, you’d assume 200-300.

Aveley attendance 3080. Hard to imagine where an extra 1000 fans would stand during a full house. Many are too polite to barge through to spaces, preferring to stand in the aisles for a better view. Sad to see bad old habits emerging at the final whistle.  Saw some youths running out the ground looking for away fans. Why can’t they just let both sets of fans celebrate a great season? |

Because they’re bellends. They’re one of the main reasons we have segregation for low risk games.

Their average home attendance is only just over 500 - although boosted by away numbers from the bigger clubs, their normal home gate is more like 300-400. So taking 349 away is pretty good going. |
