Did you notice that Cray Valley PM took about 3,000 to Charlton for their FA Cup match, but the attendance at their next home league match was about 128?

It will be a capacity crowd 500 Stevenage and 3700 Maidstone fans who haven't missed a game in 30 years

Let’s not get too carried away…
The last time we played Stevenage, they were sliding down their division (they ended up going down in 24th place) - we were their Needham Market.
But this time, they are 5th in L1, just two points off automatic promotion - three divisions above us. They are 2nd in the form table and on a 9 game un-beaten run. Meanwhile, we are 11th on recent form, and have shipped 15 goals in our last 6 games. Our defence has gone from the best in the league to 6th place, and, on goals scored, we have dropped to 12th. And we've just lost our leading goal scorer...
Of course, league form isn't everything in Cup games, a surprise result is still possible - but if there's one team that will be absolutely determined that particular embarrassment doesn't happen again, it will be Stevenage.

If they didn't turn up you've only got the 1500 regulars. They pay their money, the club takes their money win win. Also you don't know the circumstances of the plastics. Please explain. I'm sure one person has the answer which will be right, we all know who!

Some tickets should have been held back to buy at today's game, so the regulars that couldn't get ticket for certain reasons could get one. Heard a pensioner saying to Bill Williams outside about this, as he had been ill. His reply was do you need a stone in your head, basically wake up. You could have got one. I'm sorry as a senior figure of the the club, bloody damn right insulting, I can tell you now after hearing that, gone down in my estimation as a person and the club.

Bill never was exactly a diplomat. And I don't suppose age has improved him.

After today's 'performance', I think anyone without tickets should count their blessings.
I've never understood why people who don't go to see league games (where we have at least a chance of winning), go to 'big' Cup games, where we'll amost certainly loose.
To be honest, I got mine because I'm a MS ST holder and wanted to ensure I got my seat - it was only afterwards I realised I didn't particularly want to see the game!
