It's probably about time to review what our much improved signing process actually delivered this season. Levi - very good goalscorer but gone for sweet fa Dev - pretty good but moved on for no clear reason Obi - just plain awful Raz - a complete mystery....looks good for 5 mins and simply runs out of ideas Chi - forever injured Conor - forever injured Lucas - looked excellent now looks like a liability Lamar - just poor Sole - looks reasonable Wouldn't call it a storming success Only having seen a handful of games live and the odd highlights I cannot really make a judgement, good or bad,on any player with the exception of Obi who is a pub player who should be in a pub team playing on Sunday lunchtimes with this in mind I expect Celtic to move in for him in January. As for the rest of them your views do seem a tad harsh but as I've said I don't know enough so you could be right

NLS team buys NLS quality players on a NLS budget.

Was a good option off the bench but I reckon he wants a starting place.
It makes sense if he is replaced.

It's starting to feel like a bit of a mess. George (and, to be fair, circumstances) seems to be in the process of randomly dismantling the squad he built, and that did so well for the first half of the season. No doubt he would call it 'rebuilding', but it's hard to see much positive about it at the moment - are the players coming in that much better than the ones going out?
As always, in George we trust. He has earned that trust, but it's getting harder to type that recently.

From the summer signings only Lucas is a starter. I'd question our recruitment and the improved capability of the recruitment team. Loan signings have all been mediocre.

Razzaq Coleman De-Graft has been released Why? He wasnt great but he was a good NLS squad player so why ditch him? Who better are we getting to replace him? And why is George dismantling the squad he claimed was so good? I hope Razz does a Christie Pattison and finds success in a higher league somewhere. In George we trust but you do start to wonder how this will go down in the dressing room. So much for “the Group”

So much for “the Group” My guess is he expected to get more game time with Levi getting injured and then leaving. No need to start looking for dressing room unrest when there’s likely to be a much more prosaic explanation.

Not so much suggesting that there is dressing room unrest DaveU but can’t help thinking why what George is saying to his team to justify the departures of players he brought in and prevent the rest of them from worrying. It would be good to know those prosaic justifications for us fans too but that openness in football is long gone - hence my forum name. Personally I liked Petrasso and Razzaq over other similarly average players like Sole and Sol and Reynolds and Gurung but I’m happy for Devonte to stay in Essex permanently. Always unsettling to have revolving doors for players and fans alike - especially on the eve of arguably one of our biggest games since we re-formed.

Probably to free funds for the transfer window,or maybe because Levi was offered a pay rise and an extended contract that De Graft wanted the same and George told him to sling his hook.

How is this for a rumour ? Big George for the Birmingham job. Maybe that's why he is freeing up funds to give to his successor.

I am happy to clear spaces and budget for better players to arrive. The question is can we find them in the next few weeks.

I don’t think there is a dismantling of the squad. Petrasso came to the end of his loan.
Raz was ok but hadn’t forced his way into the team, even when we have been short, and it was mutual so I reckon he wants to start.
Aransibia seems like there may have been a disagreement and he looked disinterested at times but never really played much whenever he had success for the mangles.
If anything, I am positive that we are looking to push on from a good start. That it obviously assuming that we do bring some quality in. The recruitment team need to up their game for sure.
