It's probably about time to review what our much improved signing process actually delivered this season.
Levi - very good goalscorer but gone for sweet fa Dev - pretty good but moved on for no clear reason Obi - just plain awful Raz - a complete mystery....looks good for 5 mins and simply runs out of ideas Chi - forever injured Conor - forever injured Lucas - looked excellent now looks like a liability Lamar - just poor Sole - looks reasonable
Wouldn't call it a storming success

How much did we get for Levi? No one knows, just the usual negative bollox with nothing to back it up.

For all those terrible signings, it’s not been a bad season so far.
Most wanted a play off spot. The cup run has been beyond expectations. Let’s see how it goes.

I think our best players were here last year (corne, greenridge, Fowler, sol) All I'm saying is our 2023 signings for a number of reasons have hardly been a huge success.

I wasn’t referring to your post much of which I agree with. I was responding to the question of how much we got for Levi, with some of the usual suspect saying it was peanuts with no evidence to back it up.

Dev is my biggest disappointment as he was hyped as being special and Raz is the one I would love to see do well and I totally disagree with you on Covolan who now with Levi gone is our only quality player capable of NL. He’s just having a wobble right now. Somehow George has the knack of making average players like these into a strong “group” and get results but we all know we have no individual stars especially now Levi has gone. Bone Corne Fowler are quality NLS players but not good enough for NL. I also like Rush who is promising and would love to see him fill Levi’s boots and score 20 this season. COYS!

Honey coated peanuts, with a sell on clause of a bag of Brazil nuts should he move on to a bigger club.

At least the club offered him a bigger and better contract but still couldn't compete with Bromley given the sell on clause.
Don't imagine we could dictate terms outside the sell on clause so I'm guessing a pretty limited fee in the £15k-£25k range.
Just can't be helped.

Levi moving on suggests you don't want your signings to be too successful! Ok, all players are ultimately only 'on loan' and if offers come along, or indeed injuries, they can soon be gone, as per several others we could name. A case of both for Luque... The comment about moulding ordinary players into a decent team has much merit in these money driven days. If it is hard to pick out your star player, then they are less likely to get noticed and with luck, you get to keep them the whole season. The trick is to avoid the dross, the journeymen, etc. Obi, Alabi and so on.

I think ideally you want a decent bunch of players in their late 20's or early 30's. If Levi was 30, I dont think Bromley would have taken a punt. Luque would have been gone before Christmas if he were in his early 20's in our championship winning season.

JP Comms reckons he could have gone for £30k, which, whilst not his full potential value, is a tidy sum - especially at our level.
Personally, I wouldn't trust Bromley not to sell him on in January and make a fast buck (and this time with a sell-on clause...).
I would never trust anything/one to do with that club.

ok jdl, lets be having it.
Have you been personally slighted in some way ?
What's exactly wrong with Bromley fc that it has to be so mistrusted ?

However, Dev flattered to deceive and Raz and Lamar don't look up to it - I'm not even sure what position they play. There's no doubt that it's the likes of Fowler, Corne and Bone from last season that have kept it all together.
