So, who do we want and, later, what do we think about it? 63 other teams will be in the draw, plus replays, with just 20 of those being premier league. Another 24 from the championship. If a big pay day is what we want, then there is probably only a one in three chance of that because (one in six to get the away draw), even with TV money the likes of Burnley, Luton and Bournemouth do not have the big stadiums and several others, such as Forest have capacities below 30,000. A few big clubs in the championship, but if we want a real money spinner, then it is Arsenal, Liverpool, the two Manchesters, Spurs, West Ham, then maybe Chelsea, Newcastle, Everton and Villa. Am sure someone can produce a list of the potential biggest earners. The cup has a habit of throwing up connections, so might Wolves be the one? Overall though, a big payday is probably less than a one in five, or even one in ten chance. What if we get a home draw against one of the big boys? TV money aside, that will not bring in anything like as much. Sod's Law says we get an away match at the lowest attending club left. Fine, I suppose, if they are beatable, because am guessing the prize money for getting to the 4th round is substantial. Chances are, we will be the lowest ranked side left, which certainly brings media interest, so it would be really nice to be in the spotlight for a few weeks and, who knows, awaken interest from potential investors. Cross everything for a top drawer draw!

Would love to bring a big Premier League club to the Gallagher and beat them. Would test the loyalty of some of our “Maidstone til I die” fans. Reality is a big away payday might be the best outcome. Hope our slick PR machine is going into overdrive to film the draw live in the Spitfire. I’m going Wolves away for George, or Fulham due to a nearby big away end and generally nice vibes.

If we get a home tie, can we request the FA switch it to an away game ?

Draw takes place from around 12.55 on ITV. We are ball number 45.

Wolves away would be guaranteed tv interest and as TV will only show Prem teams now its our best chance of good money. On a personal note I would love to see the Stones walk out at St James Park against the Toon. We all know it'll be Ramsgate away when they knock AFC Wimbleshite out on Monday.

Either a massive club away or a winnable tie at home with the chance of another big payday in round 4. ManU away was what paid for Crawley to get into the football league.

Our FA Cup 'big draw' history hasn't been brilliant - from memory, Sheffield United is probably the biggest club we've been drawn against, possibly Watford (my memory is that Watford wasn't really a big club at the time - just a small club, riding Elton John's money - although it seemed like a big club at the time).
Otherwise, it was second rate clubs like Charlton, Exeter, Reading, etc. Not to be sniffed at, but hardly the big earner fans dream of.
Also, with our limited capacity, a home draw is never going to be a big earner. As the receipts have to be split, we actually earn more from a 2,500 league game.
So, basically it's the usual answer - a winnable home draw against the lowest side left, or away against any of the big sides.

Getting nervous - first time I've watched ITV in maybe 15 years! (It hasn't improved.)

Just seen us on the TV!! (To those of us of a certain age, this is still a thrill!) Gurung's goal just get better every time you see it.
Last time I sat in front of the TV waiting for a third round draw I was just 35...

Well that’s disappointing. But possibly winnable.

Well, it's not the draw any of us wished for, but it's a possible 4th round...
