Can it get worse? Probably. Aransibia off - second yellow.

Crazy how our main man and top goal scorer doesn't start against a team above us?! Was Amantchi carrying an injury or something?!!! if he is injured we might as well have saved him for the next game. If he wasn't injured, he should have started. Muddled thinking from the gaffer.

Sounds like we made a right bollix of that. Not sure many saw that coming - so much for the best defence in our league...

It could have been worse, Dorking lost 6-0. Watch out for more from you know who.

It was nice while it lasted. All unbeaten runs come to an end, as do winless runs.

Well at least it wasn't the 7-2 scoreline that it was (to us against H&R) 10 seasons ago (25/1/2014)
[can't believe it has been that long]

In the car after a post match debrief in the pub.
Consensus is we were beaten by a better team today. Simple as that. Very slack at the back. Didn’t stop crosses, didn’t defend crosses, didn’t close down. Looked ok going forward. They looked buoyant and confident.
As said before. We are an ok team in an average league. George is doing ok. If he was doing well we’d be 2nd or 3rd. If he was doing badly we’d be bottom half. We are just about where someone doing ok would get us!!

Pretty fair summary - the middle of the table is so compact this year, that you don't have to be doing great to be in the play-offs. Let's hope George has what it takes to refresh the team and get us playing better. Eight games in the next four weeks coming up, and injuries already starting to tell...

Well I wasn't there but I said before the game that I thought we were lacklustre at Chesham and would need to up a gear to get a result today sadly it looks like we haven't yet got that extra gear. It's only one game so not a disaster though I'm pretty sure that the George out brigade will be looking a little more interested in things after today. With the FA Trophy and FA Cup approaching we could conceivably find ourselves in the bottom half of the table in December albeit with games in hand, should that happen I hope it doesn't knock the players confidence too badly. I don't understand the Amantchi situation,is he not fit enough for 90 minutes? If this is the situation then I think I would prefer him starting, grabbing a goal or two then take him off rather than leaving him to the end when, like today, the game could be out of reach. Perhaps we've been offered big money for him in January and we don't want him get injured, unlikely but you never know these days.

If he is injured then it’s a funny one to do it that way we have and not the way you suggest. If we have received or do receive an offer I’d take it if it’s for good money. He is clearly a good box striker but he isn’t the best in other facets.

We deserved nothing from today. 4 crosses, 4 free headers. That accounts for most of the goals. But it doesn’t cover the fact that they were quicker, way more solid at the back and sharp at the front. Why can’t we try and play the ball on the ground, instead of constantly playing it back and then hoofing it forward? Anyway we were outplayed. And some of their older fans are absolute ****s.

Awaiting highlights with interest, especially as Stoneslive thought Covolan kept the score below embarrassing levels.

Can’t comment on the game but one heavy defeat doesn’t mean we are suddenly a bad team. Not many teams get through a season without at least one heavy defeat. So the defence had a mare, it happens. It’s how we bounce back from it that matters. I expect a reaction on Tuesday. If not, then I’ll start worrying.
