We want the whole of the Genco , for maximum effect to help the team on the pitch. 12th man and all that We do, but also to provide a decent view for my 2 boys. The Gallagher doesn't work for kids when crowds top 3,000. Completely agree, I dont take my 2 kids very often because its just not well laid out for under 10's

I don't like all this segregation that the club keep enforcing, but if it isn't all ticket then any person can get in through any turnstile,

The club seems to have got itslf in a spiral of disappointing decision making when it comes to segregating supporters. Hardly anybody likes it but our views don't sem to carry any weight. As for offering the Genco to away fans, it can only ever penalise home support and our team.

As a STH in the Main Stand with a seat at the Genco End, i will be so grateful when this segregation rubbish is kicked into touch. Everyone can see toilet and refeshment facilities within a few metres of where we sit at the side of the Stand but nobody is permitted access. Instead we have to route march to the Town End facilities, which for an old codger is a right pain. What a waste of time and effort. Its a pigs ear !

When you've got'old man's bladder', that walk to the stinky toilets is a real pain. And yet, there they are, just around the corner - the best loos in the ground. Reserved for 54 away fans...

I am always very reluctant to criticise the owners after all they've done for us and the club. But it's hard to believe that no one thought of the problems of accommodating away fans for segregated games when the Genco was planned and built.
In fairness, a stand that big couldn't have been put in anywhere else, and it's made such a difference to the match day experience - it's changed the ground completely. So, obviously, absolutely no complaints about it, it's the best thing that's happened since the ground was opened.
But it was built just after we went up to the NL, so the need to accommodate segregation was a known and urgent problem, it couldn't have just been ignored.
Being generous, I suppose there weren't many other options at the time. But, still, they must have been aware of the consequences of giving a third of our best stand to away fans, and the difficulties of having opposing fans so close together.
And yet, here we are, seven seasons later, still with this issue unresolved - and possibly about to go back up again into full-time segregation and large away attendances.

Hard game - Bath would have been easier. But Worthing and Chelmsford will be harder (and probably away). And you can't go up without winning each play-off - so that's what we have to do. And at least Rush isn't cup-tied! Getting this thread back on track about the actual game on Wednesday I fancy our chances purely on current momentum and Elokobi magic but Aveley are no fools so it’s gonna be tight - maybe even niggly so hopefully Bivesh will be on the bench so we don’t have to play a lot of the game with ten men. Close call. 1-0 Stones from a Corne penalty after Sol WJs 25th dive in the box finally works. Other thoughts?

I expect I am over confident, as they have beaten us home and away this season, but I think a comfortable 3-0

You think or you expect a 3-0 win ?
After 2 defeats against this team, we have no right to expect a win.
Aveley must be confident and rightly so.
Hope is all we have !

Come on, Nick - have you turned into Sword?! We are a much better team than Aveley, just coming into form at the right time, with a squad that allows George to pick a bench that would start in most NS clubs. Aveley have just squeezed into the play-offs and are riding their luck. And we have home advantage. It will be a nervy game because of their double over us, but someone always does the double over you, even in your best seasons, and it's usually not one of the big clubs - that's just football. And I'm sure George won't be focusing on the double in his team talk! His mantra will be we can win this, we must win this, and we will win this. Every game now is a cup final.

Hmm ! So we are much better than Aveley.
Perhaps Aveley are wasting their time even bothering to turn up ?
Do you think George is already making plans for the next eliminator, after Stones have put Aveley to the sword ? (excuse the pun)
This game is no 'gimmee'.
Underestimate Aveley at your peril.
Everything to play for. I would take a Sam Corne penalty to decide the match right now.
No pressure for Aveley, 2 league wins under their belt against Stones already this season, will give them belief.
This is no time for complacency, arrogance or mis-placed optimism.
George needs to have his team on a 'war footing'.
If he gets all his eggs in a row, then we have a real chance of progressing, no more, no less.

Aveley will be hungry with nothing to lose as no one predicted they would be in the playoffs on limited resources. We have every reason to be extremely cautious.

We beat Hampton 5-1 and they thumped us earlier in the season. That Aveley home match was when we hadn’t worked out how to attack. Yes confident.
