So near and yet so far. Eastleigh gave it their all second half but could not find the equaliser for me. The 5fold I got 4 with Braintree letting me down. My only consolation is I hummed and Harred whether to pick Braintree or H&R to win I chose the former but H&R could only draw as well. I think tonight just sums up my season just 2 goals away from £120. Swordy £31 v Bookies £0

For various reasons, mainly health,i am taking a time-out for a while. The battle will resume at Easter and there is still serious work to do if i am gonna land any kind if profit this season.

Friday 4fold went down, Cardiff with decent home form lost to the Mackems whose away form was one of the worst in the country and so once again I get 3 out of 4.

Oh deep despair,when i make good,sound and logical choices and they crash and burn it really does hit home that the Midas touch has truly deserted me. I feel at this moment that if i picked my nose i would have a 50/50 chance but still pick the nostril without the ripe green bogey. Oh well I'll try again on Monday providing i can get to the bookies but my rheumatoid arthritis has flared up badly and my right ankle feels like it's been thumped by a sledgehammer. Swordy memory : On this date in 1974 I went to my first concert watching Alvin Stardust at the Central Hall Chatham this was followed 2 days later by watching Gary Glitter at the same venue. This was of course long before anyone knew what a pervy paedo he was.
