In the Isthmian league South East the top of the table clash ended a 2-2 draw with Ramsgate coming from 2- 0 down to level it against Cray Valley PM and all of this in front of a crowd of 2563. This has nothing to do with Egypt Yes it does. Egypt,Nile Valley twinned in 1894 with Cray Valley. 10 years ago Cray Valley were invited to Cairo for a friendly but they declined the offer saying it was a Pharaoh way to travel.😁

Looks like Lloyd Hume is the new owner of Ashford United Yep, he tabled a bid last month - has it all gone through now? Alan Walker took over at the same sort of time so good to see them linking up again. Pre-season friendly would be nice.

There’s some comments over on the Kent non league f/b page, seems it might be a combined bid with an Aylesford based construction firm, but yes, the suggestion (but unconfirmed) is that it’s done As you say, good to see him and Walks teaming up again. I always look out for Ashford’s results and wish them well

The only way Dover would be handling large amounts of cash is if Parmenter starts money laundering!

The only way Dover would be handling large amounts of cash is if Parmenter starts money laundering! What about the kids? They wont all have cash cards? I can understand having the option, but having that as the only option opens itself up for a massive cock up when Jim doesn't pay the Broadband bill.

One of our aways was all card/contactless, I think it was St Albans, and they seemed to cope OK. Although I seem to remember Sword being a little annoyed...

Playing devil’s advocate, I once worked in a shop where young women had to walk thousands of pounds to the bank in carrier bags. Discounting season tickets, an average home gate is probably £20,000, plus catering takings. Having that kind of ready cash might have suited certain previous owners, but is a bit of a security nightmare. The world is changing. As long as there is some provision for cash. Most food transactions now seem to be a tapped card. People are voting with their debit cards and phones. Even saw a woman pay for a drink with her watch.
