What was the time and score in the Weymouth game? Weymouth were 1-0 up with 15 to go, apparently Yeovil had barely had a shot Cheers. If the other 'result' stood, so should this one. I bet the NL don't see it that way, though...

Quite a comeback for Margate tonight, 2-0 away at Potters Bar with 12 minutes to go, won 2-3.
Probably too late to avoid the drop, but still

The NL statement on Slough v Bath:
"The National League can confirm a decision has been reached following the abandonment of the match between Slough Town and Bath City. Following action being taken by the Football Association against Bath City, the League has now determined the outcome of the abandonment of the National League South fixture on March 2. It has been decided that the game is not to be replayed, and the match has been awarded to Slough Town in accordance with League rules. Slough were 4-2 in front when a medical emergency affecting a supporter occurred during the second half of the match at Arbour Park last month. Tables will be updated accordingly. Regulations state that while the home club are awarded three points, goals for and against are not to be added."
What "action (is/was) being taken by the Football Association against Bath City" - and why, what did they do??
Note that Slough weren't awarded a 'win', exactly, just the three points - games played increase by 1 each, but there are no extra goals for or against. Bearing in mind that play-off places for both clubs could be decided by goal difference, how fair is that?
Also, Slough didn't just have their points increased by three, but "(+3)" has been added next to them in the table. This looks weird - I've only ever seen this done for points deductions before.

On much the same subject, as Yeovil are now Champions and Weymouth are pretty much safe, will the NL just 'ignore' the abandoned game, as it wouldn't make any difference anyway?

Also, Slough didn't just have their points increased by three, but "(+3)" has been added next to them in the table. This looks weird - I've only ever seen this done for points deductions before. Based on comments seen elsewhere, and drawing my own conclusions, I'd say Bath have been found to have caused an unnecessary abandonment and have forfeited the match. Apparently the spectator suffered a collapse due to diabetes, but had been revived with no further risk to their well-being before the game was actually abandoned. The Bath manager sounds to have engineered the abandonment by telling the referee his players would be at risk of hamstring injuries etc if made to resume after a lengthy break, and refused to send them back out. Had he already ordered his players to get showered and changed? I don't know. Why didn't the referee order them back out and refuse to abandon the game? I've no idea. I saw comments from Bath supporters at the time disputing that version of events, but presumably the referee's report played a big part in the final outcome. Why didn't the 4-2 result stand? I assume league regulations stipulate a minimum number of minutes must have been played for the result to stand, and that point hadn't been reached before the abandonment. As for the Weymouth/Yeovil match, that sounds to have been a much more serious incident, possibly even fatal, I don't know for certain. Modern thinking seems to be that team medical staff who've been treating someone who may not pull through, and players who witnessed the incident at close range, should not be expected to resume the match. Therefore if Yeovil played no part in causing the abandonment, there is little justification for not replaying the match if the result is vital to promotion or relegation.

Brilliant! Reminds me of Trump and Musk - a total failure to recognise reality. "We're a success because the only reason we can be relegated is because we got to the place we can be relegated to start with..." And "something that will probably never be done again in football history" - what, like a club demoted to the fourth division of a league no one had ever heard of getting back into the NL (and lasting THREE years), and then getting to the 5th round of the FA Cup? That's football history, matey, not some chancer buying a few seasons' success for his hobby club.

Might already be common knowledge, but it passed me by Seems that all 8 Step 4 divisions are increasing to 22 clubs from next season - some will end this season with only 18 or 19

It’s quite a funny take but I can see why he’s done it. I know some will dislike Dorking for their rivalry with us for one season and questionable dealings with the original Dorking but I think they’re a breath of fresh air. I like White and his candid approach.

Well if relegation is a sign of success then let's hope they are successful for many years to come.

Sad news reaching Swordy towers that K Sports are set to fold at the end of the season. The club has informed the league of their withdrawal and this leaves Welling Town as the primary club using Cobdown. Trouble emerging at Welling Town, who will not be moving into Cobdown.

We should buy the lease move 3G operations to Cobdown and lay grass at the Gallagher.Cobdown is big enough to accommodate the smaller attendances and has a clubhouse 10 times better than our barn.

In the Isthmian league South East the top of the table clash ended a 2-2 draw with Ramsgate coming from 2- 0 down to level it against Cray Valley PM and all of this in front of a crowd of 2563.
