Due to persistent heavy rain Poole Town have become the latest club from the SW to move their home game, they will play at Dorchester Town tomorrow. They’ve also withdrawn from the County Cup. They were rostered to play away at Shaftesbury next Tuesday night in a semi final, but also had a league game scheduled for the same night They offered to send an u23 squad to the cup match but Dorset FA weren’t having it Unable to switch either game to another date, cup holders Dolphins withdrew from the comp

Couldn’t we withdraw from the KSC, to avoid having to go to Bromley?

Hakan must be worried about losing his job. Two 4-0 losses this week and no playoffs

Question. What does a manager get after 3 successive promotions and a fourth season just 3 points and one place from the playoffs? Answer. The sack. Walton & Hersham unbelievably sack Scott Harris as manager, their most successful manager since the 1950's . Unbelievable Jeff ☹

Walton & Hersham unbelievably sack Scott Harris as manager, their most successful manager since the 1950's . Unbelievable Jeff ☹ My old home team! The first senior team I ever saw and the first one to beat us in a league game at JWW. And once a successful non-league side - even beating Brighton & Hove Albion 4-0 in the FA Cup, just after Brian Clough had become manager (he wasn't happy!). But more recently they fell on hard times, dropping down the leagues and even being eclipsed by the local 'young' upstarts Walton Casuals. Ultimately, they lost their old home ground and had to move in with the Casuals at the local 'Sports Hub'. But, more recently, things have looked up, with the club being taken over by a group of young 'students', and, with the Casuals folding, they've gone from strength to strength, with three consecutive promotions. This season (their first back at this level) would have been their 4th promotion in a row. So, I suppose, even the sort of finish they're looking at this season (probably just outside the play-offs but in indifferent form) was deemed inadequate... Another case of wanting more than you can afford? Southern League Premier South is probably as high as you can get with just a decent manager and an enthusiastic board. The step up to NS needs a bit more - mostly money, but also a decent following. Have these 'students' got the dosh to go further, is there the potential support in a very 'non-football' area? Or is this just the usual story, playing itself out to its inevitable end?

I believe it referred to some partly hidden graffiti about their 1969 Athenian league championship.

Remarkably they are on tour again, so get your ticket now, Dave! Then all together - “If the kids are united…”

Looks like the NLS has ruled on Slough Bath match, abandoned at 4-2, the result stands
Wonder if the same logic will apply to the more recent abandonment Weymouth Yeovil

Bath now can't get higher than 6th and stand a higher chance of dropping out of the playoffs altogether. It puts Slough up one place and they can still, in theory, make the playoffs, but not realistically. Crazy rule, anyway, abandoning games because someone in the crowd is ill. With all due respect to the person, loved ones, etc, there's no reason why the game can't continue in most cases. This could not only cause havoc with promotions/relegations/etc, but all it take is for one fan whose a losing a vital match to feign illness and the whole thing becomes farcical!
