Is that really true? How do you keep fielding a team if you never win? Or are they a school team who have no choice?

Congratulations to Crockenhill fc who beat Bromleians 4-2 yesterday to register their first win in 3.5 years.😁 I'm pretty sure we played them in County league days. I recollect beating them 6-0 in some final where their supporters swamped our ground and losing at home to them 4-2. Almost certainly, none of this ever happened though. On an aside, in trying to find out about these games, I found an old post on a board where my travelling companion to a Burgess Hill game referred to me as Le Coq Noir. A strange reference indeed...

Crockenhill were once members of the Kent League but when it became the SECL they were placed in division one. Three successive relegations mean they are now in Kent County League division 2 West.

Kent's last remaining hope of an FA Vase winner Deal Town have been drawn away to Bridgewater in the last 16. Deal Town are looking for their second FA Vase having won it at Wembley in 2000 beating Chippenham Town.

Southern league Premier side Nuneaton have resigned and withdrawn from the league with immediate effect, they now face the liquidation process. Nuneaton, who have been homeless for several months, just cannot afford to go on. Sad news for one of our great rivals of yesteryear.😪

Kendal town plus around 200 supporters travelled to the Isle of Man to watch their team battle to a 1-1 draw. Kendal have postponed tomorrow's game as the players, along with fans and club officials are still stuck on the island as storm Isha has cancelled all flights and sailings, many may not make it home until Wednesday.Happy days!😁

The attendance at Chatham Town v Hashtag last night was allegedly 2018. I have yet to find official confirmation of that. There was also crowd trouble from the the Chavs.

National League North side Chorley Town may have new owners soon as Irish band Boyzone and Brian McFadden are in takeover talks ,maybe we can talk Chicory Tip into buying us.
