In any dispute, there are always two sides and until you hear both of them, it is impossible to judge what is right or wrong.

Agree.
But like others i did find Joseph's video rather wearying.
Making too much of a big deal over it imo.

Really appreciate the response to the video guys, and some really good points made by all who agree and disagree. I think it may not be as big a deal as perhaps originally made out, but I do worry about the precedent that it may set going forward (maybe overreacting). Perhaps a lack of loyalty and a more ruthless streak could benefit us! As we saw the loyalty Hak showed didnt exactly benefit us this season player wise. All about sharing ideas and opening myself up to others points of view. And the video was made without having spoken to Ryan, so some inferences were made👍🏼

How far did Ryan have to travel to get to the Gallagher and for what time? If he had to leave around 0700 then a 0640 call may have been considered best to avoid an unnecsesary Journey unless George was expected to Knock on his Front Door at 0640?

Yeah I was thinking that in an alternative universe, Ryan is tweeting "Just came to training to be called into the office by George to be told my services were no longer needed. Thanks for the wasted journey...."

According to George's interview, Ryan already has a full-time job elsewhere and his Stones role was an extra commitment for him. If George wants to re-shuffle the pack to get stronger back-room support for the club, why not ?

Makes perfect sense. The 6.40am call was probably not the best

Like most (all?) fans, I have no real idea of the ins and outs of this, so I just have to accept that George knows what he is doing, and that there were good reasons why it was done the way it was.
It's George's call, after all, we just have to let him get on with doing his job the best he can. The alternative would be the sort of club interference/restrictions that Jay had to put up with, and we all know how well that went.
But the one part of this where the club has got it wrong (once again) is the PR - which is, quite frankly, amateur.
They should have had a statement ready before Ryan was sacked, to be released as soon as he had been told. That way, the discussion and gossip would have been cut short, and, whether or not fans liked the situation, at least they would have known the facts from the outset.
This is hardly rocket science and is standard practice in any organisation where communication with its consumers is vital. This, and other similar episodes, like the Beth and Luque situations, do long-term damage to the club-fan relationship - something a club of our size cannot afford to happen.

Amen to the above and just said as much on the Luque thread. If the club want fans to stay with them, they are not going the best way to do it. True supporters stick with the team through thick and thin, but there are plenty of others who can make a big difference to the home attendance and for one reason or another at least 1000 have voted with their feet this season. Potentially half a million quid over the season.

He's out of contract, hasn't played for over a year, and is unlikely to be fit to start next season. Anyone with half a braincell could see he wasn't gonna get a new deal. I'm surprised at the level of vitriol being aimed at the club, especially considering how much people complained about Hak's loyalty to last year's squad.

Fair point, but some of the posts have been lacking any cerebral input.

Alas some of our supporters especially on the Facebook site can only dream that one day the will acquire half a brain cell.
