jackster - I'm not sure it IS right for us to moan and groan on social media. Frankly, yelling nasty things at the ground is much easier to ignore as "heat of the moment" idiocy, than reading carefully-written analyses of why Hak should leave, why half our players are substandard or why we're not trying hard enough. The players read this stuff - and whether they SHOULD or not, they take notice of it. So do Hak and Terry - and Oliver, and Terry Casey, I should think. The problem with social media is that it is FAR too powerful a platform. If somebody offered me a trade - all the post-match booing and anti-Hak, anti-player chanting continues but ALL social media posts being thoughtful, useful, compassionate, motivational and positive, I'd take it like a shot. Of course, it would be even better for the world if ALL social media were simply turned off - but that horse bolted (and sprayed piss and shit on everyone) long ago. There is an old saying opinions are like aholes, in that everyone has one. With modern day technology mainly social media it's given everyone a platform to voice their opinion, the biggest problem with it is that it allows you to do it anonymously and without any recourse for your comments, its easy to go online and say something like hak out and abuse Oliver Ash but would that same person do it face to face without the anonymity and their friends standing behind them. For my two cents Terry and Oliver are fine as owners and doing it properly and will have my full backing, rather financial sustainability then constant debt threatening existence. Hak is like Jay in a lot of ways, in that he is a likeable person and you want to see him do well, and I hope that he can turn this around, the only way of knowing if he can or not will be at the end of the season, that's if the youth don't get their way and he gets the dreaded chop. We are 6 points off of 16 which is where I predicted we will finish, yes there is going to need to be a lot of hard work to change this but it is not out of the question, if we can get some confidence in the players and have a bit of luck along the way it is achievable.

I work in Marketing and social media is an absolute sess pit. You would not believe some of the things I've read by everyday people. However, in terms of a confidence perspective if I was a player, I'd much rather someone say I was shit online and I'd be able to take time and take stock of that, mentally placing it somewhere else pre-game than have 400+ odd people chant collectively at me and my team about how bad we are / I am while I'm trying to focus on a high intensity situation. I'm not saying either are appropriate, but people will talk and people have opinions, but personally I think chanting how shit we are / how we haven't conceded more while in person SUPPORTING the team is actual lunacy.

Sad to see jdl joining the malcontents. Personally I'm sticking with Hak. If he keeps the club up this season, that would be fantastic. But if the poor run continues, I for one will carry on supportimg him and the boys in black and amber. Where did he say he wasn’t going to support them? You can make a comment on wether you think Hak is good enough or not without joining the boo boys!!! I'm glad I continued reading this thread before replying to the criticism of jdl in particular. I second your comments and commend them to the house. You don't have to be a boo boy to have doubts or an objective opinion. FWIW I haven't seen Stones play in real time this season, but it doesn't take a genius to work out trends, nor does it necessarily take one to resolve them, but with the apparent "keep trying the same solution" approach, in my experience that tends to wear people down - whatever the scenario and wherever you are in the football pyramid. Again FWIW, my outlook on footy is this; With the NL there are 24 teams, six of whom will leave the division at the end of the season, and for four of those it won't be a good thing. For some people going down is like the end of the world - (I'm talking relegation here - grow up! ) but for those old enough to remember our Div 4 days, there is something worse than relegation. The owners of the club have opted for stability, that's their model and perhaps we should manage our expectations accordingly, enjoy the ride and hope for entertainment as part of the deal, but that doesn't mean we can't disagree with it. Success this season to me would be a last eight place in the Trophy, a ride to the third round of the FA Cup and finishing anywhere from 20th upwards in the League. Losing in the Cup was absolutely dire, but two of the other three are entirely possible, so for me it's glass half-full, and until I take a significant shareholding* in the club, I'll leave the hiring and firing decisions to those who do. *No plans so don't hold your breath!

This is a discussion board, and we are all dedicated supporters - some of us for a bloody long time. If we can't express genuine concerns about the club on here without being flamed by the 'no criticism' crowd, then what's the f**king point? Happens everywhere mate. On FB there is a fan group for the Red Arrows and you won't believe the vitriol in there if you dare criticise any aspect of their performance. I left before I was thrown out!
