If the children think Hadler and Alabi are going to be our saviours, they’re in for a big disappointment.

MOTM for me was Reagan. Not for the pen conversion but the communication, rousing the players and being everywhere. Not expecting much Tuesday but at least we didn’t lose

Considering the need for a performance and that it was versus a team at the bottom with us, this was the worse half of football by far from us this season Second half, particularly the last 30 minutes were probably the best we've played this season. First half was dire. Deserved at least a draw and with a more clinical touch could have had 2 or 3 more. I'm hopeful that second half will make the players realize they are actually good enough and give us a platform to build on. Noticable how much we improved after Barkers went off. I said last week and it was the same again first half, it's like we're playing with ten men when he's on the pitch. Still not convinced about Greenwich and Mensah wasn't great today. Need Ellul and Fowler back asap. Agree Barkers and Mensah were poor today. Barkers must be the worst midfielder we have ever had. Can’t head, can’t tackle, can’t control the ball and can’t pass. What did Hak ever see in training that made him think he would be a good player to sign? Mensah OMG, how is he playing ahead of ellul or Fowler.

We were poor today completely lack quality bit better second half. Mensah was poor , very weak defending doesn’t stay strong in challenges or does the basics BUT DYLAN BARKERS don’t get me started what a complete waste of space absolutely shocking just get rid period .

Really can't work out the reasoning to bring the new keeper straight in, especially against a big side like Yeovil. Their goal looked a communication cock up which allowed their forward to get between keeper and centre back. Arguable it would not have happened if Sanford had been given time to settle in first. Did we improve second half? Maybe, but Yeovil backed off big time, which gave us more space to work with. Trouble is, we are so SLOW and until we up the pace and close down teams more in their own half, we are only going one way.

If the children think Hadler and Alabi are going to be our saviours, they’re in for a big disappointment. Hadler might be good at interacting with them on social media but this is a level to far for him I'm afraid. As for Alabi, he's got a worse first touch than christie, the turning circle of a ten-tonne truck and the speed of someone in a wheelchair going backwards up a hill. I'm glad someone else spotted it and commented on it further up and that was Booty taking the mantle of a leader out there barking out orders trying to organise people, you could hear him clearly doing this, showed me he gives a toss. Mensah had a mare today but thought Greenidge played well a few great tackles (When the ref booked him it was a perfectly good tackle not even a foul). We were back to a flat back four today other than that could not work out if it was 4,3,3 or 4,4,2 we were so non existent in the final third until the last 20/25 minutes. We need a nasty holding centre mid player and a real goal threat if we want to start turning draws into wins and loses into draws.

Their goal to me in the town end looked like our defender Mensah was stood waiting for the ball to arrive before heading clear rather than going to meet it and their player coming towards the ball and attacking it, our new keeper had expected our defender to attack the ball and clear it.

I was on the half-way line & thought exactly the same. Really poor by Mensah but a great header by their number 9 that I don't think the keeper had a chance with.

Mensah fell asleep - no way the keeper was coming out that far and he just didn’t attack it…… it was a great header though

Much better second half, first half we looked like we weren’t in the game really. Second half we started to play some decent stuff at times and deservedly got a point albeit via a dodgy penalty. Booty should be captain TBH. Hoyte is too quiet, he had a better game today but he’s not a natural leader. Mensah was below par but i see great potential in him. Greenidge looked better today, he looks kind of cumbersome but he carried the ball out of defence a few times today and looked reasonably ok doing it. Maybe an easier game for him today after a couple of tough games to set off with, against Notts County and Southend. Still to be totally convinced by him though .... the foul where he was booked WAS a foul (i was stood near it and he completely mis-timed it) but it didn’t warrant a yellow card. Deacon was better today in his left sided role (he’s not a rwb). For me, Pattison scares defenders with his pace, skill and strength and is probably the best we have to offer for that. I would also like to see Fawole get more game time as he has something about him. He definitely needs more time to showcase, but there is more than something there. Alabi has strength but the lroblem is he is STILL too easilyout-muscled by opponents purely because they are bigger than him.....he’s a bulky, muscly guy but he can’t get the better of taller defenders. Today in the second half he had beaten his man but then inexplicably put the ball back up in the air and promptly lost it.

I feel a bit dejected today. I agree with some of the comments on here and disagree with an equal amount. I guess it shows how far from united we are! What really pissed me off was the chanting of our own ‘fans’ again. How shit must you be, we’ve had a shot etc and within minutes of Sandford’s second debut a load of piss taking nonsense like are you Mersin in disguise when his kicking started badly, This then followed by Tom Hadler is our mate. Does anyone seriously think this is supporting your club? I absolutely get criticism but adding to a lack of confidence is not support. For the record I like Hadler but would never deride whoever is selected. I don’t think Alabi is good enough but will support him on the pitch. I honestly think half of our fans only sing the Alabi song because it is catchy and vogue with other premier league songs. I used to like our younger support as a positive for the future but if they are the dominant singing element they are no more than fair weather friends. As for the game. First half was dire. We lack quality and confidence to play football so hoof it. I would again add that when players try to play and make mistakes if we get on their back we only add to the safety first option they will chose next time of hoofing it. Booty is very short of confidence in my opinion but if we get on his back when he tries to put his foot on the ball he will only release it too early next time. Full marks for having the balls to convert the penalty. Our only chance to get better this season is to try to play football on the deck. This requires confidence, skill, ability and movement off the ball. We can help with some of those factors. One noticeable difference in the second half was the defence playing out from the back. Greenidge in particular committing players by dribbling out and suddenly we had an overlap. Not sure why I bother writing on here because half the people I’m trying to educate will never read it! COYS.

On the plus side, we didn't lose, and the second half display looked much more like a team that cares. Maybe we can take some of that forward to Tuesday night and give them more of a game? I couldn't tell if the pen was 'dodgy' or not, but we had at least one better appeal ignored by the ref (who was shite), so I think justice was done. Kudos to Booty for scoring under all that pressure.
I didn't think much of Yeovil, and, over the whole game, I thought we were the better side and possibly deserved more than a point (althogh to get that, we have to learn to SCORE!) Their goal was a complete gift - should go down as an OG! Apart from that cheeky one that was offside, they didn't seriously look like scoring any more, whereas we had several strikes that could/should have gone in on another day.
Yes, it was still crap, and one better half isn't enough, and yes I'm losing faith in Hak for putting the new goalie straight in (that's not tactics, that's just desperate wishful thinking). He was OK, but better than Mersin or Haddler?? Having three goalies isn't the answer to our problems - even if they all plaid at once!
I think the back four will be OK once Ellul is back - and maybe Fowler? But we need a decent CM and someone who can regularly score goals. If Hak can magic those up, instead of playing 'pick the goalie', we might survive. Today might just be the first glimmer of that survival.
Still having my doubts though, especially about Hak. I'm beginning to think he rode our success last season, rather than creating it. Let's hope I'm wrong.
