So bad, so very bad.
Pretty obvious some players not up for competing in this league.
On today's performance Hak should have told players to find their own way home.

2 long away days and 9 goals conceded.
Maybe the players go out on the lash the night before ?
They looked so unready for this match.
Totally outclassed by a bog ordinary team.
Just not good enough.
Has has work to do.
Players should apologise for this performance.

"No fight, no creativity, static at the back, stagnant at the front." Summing up from Stoneslive. Anybody got anything positive to say? No. Really. No. We talked a lot about this on the long walk back to Newcastle and we couldn’t think of a single good performance from our side. Joe tried during parts of the second half - but as another Stone pointed out in the crowd, some of the trouble in front of our goal was caused by Joe - inter alia - not thinking or acting quickly enough. Hak? Well - the formula wasn’t working, and starting to sub so late (and at the opposite end of the park to where we’re really leaky) just didn’t work. Best Stones performer of the day was the cheerleader in the crowd leading the “Alabi” chant. Best - by a country mile.

Let’s look at our defence.
Fowler came to us from Aldershot and dropped a league because he wasn’t getting games at this level.
Ellul not sure he ever played at this level and was good in the Two leagues below
Cowley played at this level but is below average and there is a reason Bromley moved on
Hoyte is no spring chicken and is not great when played on the left.
This defence is just going to struggle in this league.
Hoping they can step up is wishful thinking.
Need to sign players but that is more wishful thinking than just hoping!

It must be hard for any football team to get it together after a 6 hour coach drive along grid-locked motorways to a far flung northern outpost.
Then getting off the bus in your kit and staggering onto the pitch, without time even for a 'Jimmy Riddle' before the kick off.
No team talk, no anything.
It must be the case because that's exactly what it looked like.
Stones so sluggish right from the start with the Gateshead boys looking much sharper all over the pitch.
Nobody in a black and amber shirt looked too bothered.
Only one team wanted it today.

Any chance someone could put the chant on here, it has been mentioned on Facebook saying it was brilliant. Brightened up an otherwise dull day it would seem. Well done all that went.

I've actually had magpies spotting my shirt and coming up to me in boozers here all evening saying how sorry they feel for us!

Wonder what Dorking fans are saying? They have scored one more goal than us, but conceded four more, so 11-20, compared to our 10-16. However, with Solihull visiting next Saturday, that could soon change... National South defenders clearly finding life tough in the NL. From the North, Gateshead have let in 12 goals, scoring eleven, while York are currently 7-5. Quite what that might mean, I have no idea, other than if you don't play well in this league, you get stuffed.

There were issues all over the park today. Lack of competitiveness against an average team. Far too good for Stones who were 2nd best everywhere. Defence looking increasingly shambolic. All down to Jerome's absence ? I don't think so. 2nd worst defensive record in the league, after Dorking. Hak talks about the importance of working hard. Mmm !

Obviously I wasn't there to se this pitiful performance but I would like to point out that we have taken 6 points from the last 3 games,I will take that in any league.

Obviously I wasn't there to se this pitiful performance but I would like to point out that we have taken 6 points from the last 3 games,I will take that in any league. Given: a) Our performance today and at Wrexham and b) The next few fixtures By early October, we could well have taken 6 points from the last 9 games. Would you stil take that?
