Secret talks between Sunk and Johnson yesterday over Tory leadership. Wonder what they said? Richie - so Boris, do you think running for PM is a good idea now, given the Parliamentary Standards Committee could be about to rule that you misled parliament and should be banned from office?
Boris - no problem Richie, all you have to do is make me a lord and I can still rule that way
Or hopefully Richie just said - you are a lying, two faced shit and I will no more work with you than I would eat my own children.
However, maybe Boris being voted back as PM is the quickest route to a general election, especially if 40 plus Tories resign the whip, stand as independents and then support Labour in a vote of no confidence. It would probably be their only chance of holding on to their seat if they did.

" FOR THE GOOD OF THE PARTY AND THE COUNTRY, MR JOHNSON SET HIS DREAM ASIDE. THIS IS A GESTURE OF WISDOM, HONOUR AND Statesmanship. HIS TIME WILL COME AGAIN."
So says the front page of The Mail. And as delusional as you could get. Pass the sick bucket FFS.
Wisdom? Doesn't have any. Honour? Don't make me laugh. Statesmanship? Doesn't know the meaning of the word.
The Metro does it properly with "BORIS HAS BOTTLED IT"
Despite him saying he had 100 votes, the evidence suggests it was less than 60. Hence, he pulled out to save face. We know he is a serial liar anyway. However, that doesn't mean he won't be scheming away in the background, waiting for another opportunity to arise - though hopefully the Tories will spend so long in the wilderness, he'll be well past it by then.

Pass form indicates that Johnson never practiced pulling out. Sorry, old school.

Nice one... So, six months wasted by the Tory Party to engineer something that we now know could have been done in three days! Those who now complain that members should have been given a vote simply need to gofuckthemselves. It was the pathetic blue rinse mob that got us here in the first place. Those who say they don't know what Sunak stands for are conveniently forgetting his summer campaign - though Truss didn't exactly stick to hers, I suppose. Do I like Sunak? Not really, but he is probably the best the Tories can offer at the moment. Casting the likes of Reece-Mogg, Pritti Patel, IDS and Denise Coffey into political wilderness would signal a positive start, but as the Daily Mirror says this morning, how can a prime minister who is richer than the king, know what life is like for ordinary people? Can only hope he can engineer something better than the last six months. Shouldn't be difficult, but then this is still the Tory Party.

He could start by getting his wife to pay the taxes she owed.🤬

Reece-Mogg gone. Good. Pritti Patel gone. Good. But why is Therese Coffey still in cabinet and as for keeping Cove the Gunt... Keep your friends close and your enemies closer, maybe.

Matt Hancock, aka Coco the Clown according to the Star, says going on 'Celebrity' will put him in touch with ordinary people. I suggest that such 'celebrities' are about as far removed from normality as you can get and if he really wants to meet ordinary people, maybe he short start with his own constituents? Suspect the six figure fee and the snub from Sunak has much more to do with it...

Williamson the first resignation of the Sunak government and the only surprise seems to be he went of his own volition. Always wondered what he had on Bojo to survive before, but now we know he is a nasty bastard, so maybe that is why. How on earth did he get the knighthood though? Good riddance to bad rubbish I say.

Always reminds me of the old joke: My wife went to the West Indies. Jamaica? No, she went of her own accord. Tish, boom, etc.

Kent County Council chief on £250,000+per year said the county will file for bankruptcy unless they save money. I can save them £250,000 + just like that

Wouldn't trust the average American when it comes to voting for anything. There are some very strange and polarised people out there. Several million believe in the absolutism of the bible - which means the earth was created about 6000 years ago - and plenty still think the earth is flat. Meanwhile, listening Jeremy Hunt's budget speech in the car yesterday, kept telling myself to wait for the detail, as it all seemed fairly plausible. Well "ISH" anyway. The morning papers certainly paint a different picture though. The Mail, Times and Telegraph are all negative about it, plus the Mirror and Guardian (as you'd expect). Only the Express was in favour, it's headline proclaiming Victory! for the pension triple lock being kept. Presume the other Tory rags are unhappy about higher earners (ie them) having to pay more tax. My heart bleeds.

I see hbs is still ploughing his lonely farrow on the main page.
World beating lack of self-awareness.
But please stop feeding him, Mr 6s.
