Indeed, though the real shock this morning is the Express and Mirror front pages both agreeing the nurses should get a decent pay deal. Not saying others don't deserve one, but after all they did during the pandemic the government is looking pretty ungrateful now.

If proof were needed about just how batshitfuckingmental our government really is, then news today that there are no plans to control the arrival of people from China just about takes the biscuit.
Just in case someone from HM Gov reads these posts (or perhaps one of you out there knows someone who may be able to give them a nudge) here are some reasons to be careful:
1. Covid originated in China
2. They still have lots of it
3. Their vaccinations aren't as good as ours, so may well have new and unpleasant variants
4. They are not exactly open and honest about what they do inside their own borders
5. We ignored the initial thread of Covid for far too long, costing thousands of lives and billions of pounds
6. Lots of other countries have already said that Covid tests will be mandatory for all visitors from China, with a positive result requiring two weeks quarantine.
So, why, given all the above, aren't we doing the same?
Get you heads from out of your arses you tossers.
Just remembered - this will be a Home Office decision = Suella Braverman. Enough said???

Tory sleaze continues to go well then and as the Daily Mirror suggested the other day - if you need a loan, talk to your bank.
However, could be an interesting programme on the BBC tonight, which includes Nojo telling us that Putin issued gangster type threats to him, immediately before the invasion.
Wouldn't surprise me, though at recent poll suggesting 47% of Tory voters would still like Boris back in charge...

At the risk of continuing what is becoming a personal thread, here goes...
The new Northern Ireland Brexit deal? Is it really the case that the latest idea is to have a Green Lane for stuff just going to Ulster and a Red Lane for anything going on to the Republic? Well f**k me senseless, how has it taken umpteen years to come up with that bright idea???
It has to be more complex than that - the DUP don't do simple - but you just have to wonder. Indeed, it amazes me that there is so much hatred between countries/communities, years after things are supposed to have been solved. UN forces are needed still in Kosovo and Cyprus, because if they left, the locals would immediately be at each others' throats.
Clad the Vunt is no doubt happy to keep everyone guessing what he will do next - though if he was really so worried about the West invading, maybe he could ask for a UN peace keeping force on the Ukraine border?
Too simple? You bet, the little shit can't fight one army, let alone two, but maybe China and Russia v the world is what he is hoping for?
There again, merely posting this in Russia, China, or indeed Turkey would get me thrown in jail, so maybe things are quite so bad here...
