Looking at the news recently, it is clear that humanity in general still has serious problems. There are nasty be pieces of work out there at all levels, from misogynists to homophobes and bullies of every persuasion.
At the highest (?) levels we have Putin, Kim, the Ayatolla, that dickhead in Belarus, plus any other number of tin pot dictators. Unfortunately, seems they are kept in power by rafts of equally be unpleasant people through their (and our own) societies.
And the problem is, it seems there is nothing we can do about them, because for every nice, kind person in the world, there are at least as many evil bastards trying to undo things.
Will humanity learn?

Shock horror, the front page of the Daily Mail gives Truss 17 days to sort her mess out, or be sacked by the party!
Given they appointed her, it doesn't offer much hope in terms of who comes next. Party members apparently wanted Mordant, MPs gave them the choice of Truss or Sunak. So far, it's not exactly worked out well.

Truss became prime minister on the back of multiple tax cut promises. Now all we are promised is tax rises. Ergo, she has no mandate, no authority, no nothing and simply needs to go.

Unfortunately, this basket case of a PM is only one part of a basket case government and a basket case party. It is of course ordinary people who have to bear the consequences.
If they had any humility, any shame any honour, they would call an immediate general election. Not going to happen of course, because the vast majority are only in politics for personal gain.
