Parallels with the situation over the pond, except they've been able to vote out their clown, while we've got a whole circus of the buggers for years yet.

JDL Sports or whatever they're called (imagine what a company that would be!), moving their warehouses to continental Europe... so the migration will continue to ebb and flow: "The Warehousing sector is very reliant on non-UK workers; according to the CBI (2018) 25 per cent of staff working in warehouses in the UK (113 thousand people) are non-UK EU Nationals" (https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/814589/Warehousing_Sector_Director_of_labour_market_enforcement_July_2019_IFF_research.pdf) The fishing lobby not thinking their argument through is, as DaveU pointed out, rather ironic. Just the whole concept of not wanting to trade with your nearest neighbours, is utterly mystifying. 1176 days until the next general election's due - 2 May 2024, just a couple of days before Maidstone take on Ramsgate in the Ryman Div 1S promotion playoff final... Just reading up on the Financial markets thing www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-56017419 the EU plainly being vindictive again - and the job losses / movements nowhere near as bad as Adrian / The Guardian predicted. If there's one market you'd expect the Tories to defend at all costs, this is it...

Go and play a game with your kids or something and leave the world to sort itself out. You worry too much😁

You worry too much😁 I, alone, cannot but if people like me keep harping on and pointing out reality then the penny has to drop, about the plethora of lies people were told (and believed). Slowly a groundswell of people will build and things can change. I worry too much because I have kids. It's natural for me to do so. The same with pollution. We played loads in the snow over the last few days. I've been a firm hater of snow through my thirties and forties but this time round found a new passion for it. Snowball fights and general playing in the snow at home with my two and at work. Its been fun!

BBC News - Covid-19: Hotel quarantine in England less strict than Australia's www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-56030384So, with a 'gold standard' approach from Australia to copy, we produce our own watered down version which the Aussies have already proved to be full of holes. I can just imagine ministers looking at the Aussie version and saying, 'Hang on a minute, I'll need to go outside for a fag, so we can't keep everyone locked up for a fortnight, plus I'll need to sneak and get my mate to pass on illicit supplies or arrange a quickie with my mistress too.' Yet the Times is proclaiming social distancing needs to be in place until the autumn - including masks, staying at least a metre apart and so on. If so, where does that leave the start of next season then? Raises big doubts about spectators being allowed back in you'd think...

Why don't people accept the Brexit decision & get on with life. If you cannot accept it then post on another forum & leave this one for footie chat

Why don't people accept the Brexit decision & get on with life. If you cannot accept it then post on another forum & leave this one for footie chat Maybe its just the massive costs, social disruption and loss of freedoms that mean we keep on. Obviously, if you were gullible enough to believe lies about how your lives would be transformed for the better and are now seeing the reality and watching it all unravel then I appreciate why you would rather it wasn't discussed. Out of interest, you decided to grace us with a post for the first time in 5 months and rather than posting about football (which you are so obviously very passionate to discuss) you chose to read a thread entitled 'Unashamed politics but' and then complain that it talked about...well...politics. Personally, I would have chosen something that had a more footbally title to it. Obviously, I guess we could leave the forum (as you have mostly done) and leave it to the likes of you to engage in footy chat (or pretty much not, as seems the case). Anyway, as a helpful hint, all the other threads are about football. Fill yer boots...

Can we have a vote? Moderators please move this thread to the non football section and ban NWS if he persists in posting national politics on a football forum. He is entitled to his views even if he is flogging a dead horse but he can take it to fb or some other forum where he might find like minded people who want to live in the past. I think he is very lucky not to be getting dogs abuse for polluting our football forum. Now piss off.

I notice that the Transport required page has not been used since 2017 could this not be put aside for politics Any supporter asking/needing help to get to a game can use the main page while those who wish to discuss the state of the nation can rant away with out those who care only for football feeling there space is being invaded

Another one who was so cocksure that everything was going to be great is now offering abuse and trying to hide their embarrassment. Don't abuse me because I told this was a disaster waiting to happen. Abuse those that sold it to you. I object to swearing and there is no place for it on a football forum that can be read by children. I suggest all those that cannot moderate their language be banned. As for living in the past...you just voted to take us back decades, thinking that you would be buying the glory days of the Victorian era. Brilliant! Flogging dead horses is what we all be reduced to, if we can persuade Indonesia (or whatever brilliant deal we have in place this week) agree to take it. I labelled the thread so people could easily avoided it but you chose to come on here and get angry and sweary rather than post about football, like you claim you want to do. You could just take your own advice and leave this thread. You have several other options.

I trust the same methodology will be applied? The reality is that people were only too happy to poke 'you lost get over it' at people. Now, the reality of what they voted for gets highlighted, they swear and want it hidden. Hilarious. As for space being invaded. I have little interest in some of the threads. I apply a simple trick of not bothering to click on them. it's really easy. Obviously what I should be doing is clicking on them, swearing at people, asking for them to get banned because I don't agree and generally having a meltdown like a little baby (I wasn't referring to your perfectly polite suggestion BTW).

So why move to the minority territory?
