You can vote whichever way you like moon boots, but it doesn't make it a sensible, well informed or wise judgement call on your part. The subject has always been devisive and whilst I have to lump it but I will never like it.

Whenever I have cause to doubt the wisdom of Brexit, I remind myself that this course of action was so strongly commended by Donald Trump and Boris Johnson.

Does it really matter? When the Germans leave the EU and start marching across Europe singing 3rd time lucky we will be well out of it,then the rest of Europe will all of sudden be clambering to be our best friends AGAIN! Here we go again with sword banging on with another slice of anti German rhetoric. Have you given much time swordy to thinking about England's 'glorious' history of attempting World domination by force and enslaving those less fortunate? As you say, does it really matter? As for other European nations wanting the UK to be their best friends, you have to be seriously deluded, that ship has well and truly sailed.

I am sure in 1919 there was someone like you saying " that'll teach the Krauts, they won't try that again" Hmm! I will not be alive to see it,possibly neither will you but they will march again, never doubt it, that bitter east wind will come again and millions more will wither and die and once again our country will stand its ground ,drinking tea and eating cucumber sandwiches whilst saving Europe's arse once more.

Not so Mr Sword. The UK people (52%) has declared its dislike and contempt for all things European. No reason ever to help them again. Sooner the better we ban all forms of cooperation with trade, energy, climate change, travel, medical research, security blah blah blah. Anyhow we are better than them. Just ask Boris.

Satire or not, it makes sense to me.
I believe in Boris our leader who got Brexit done.
A man who represents selflessness, integrity and honesty.
What could possibly go wrong ?

I had no objection to the trade thingy, and voted to stay in in 1975, we just weren't asked about changing the organisation into a political behemoth and eroding our sovereignty. Our sovereignty wasn't eroded. You just believed a lie.

Tstone, you are just splitting,EEC, EU or COMMON MARKET it is the same whatever title you want to give it. I voted against joining whatever year it was,but when the vote went against my preferance I accepted the democratic decision, unlike a number of people on this FOOTBALL forum Some people didn't accept the democratic decision of the 1970s and made up lies to persuade others to follow what they wanted. These people wrote for newspapers, appeared on question time etc.

In 2016, the UK population was 65.61m. How many people voted Brexit and what is 52% of 65.61m. Wasn't it Gavin Williamson that asserted that?

You want facts ?
You want the truth ?
But you know the answer already !
The reference above was of course 52% (51.9% actually) of those who actually voted at the time.

Latest opinion poll (Statista) as at January 2022, evidences that 38% of eligible voters now think it was the right decision to leave the EU.
Of course the referendum is now some 5 years ago and the electorate has seen quite a few departures and arrivals during this time period.
With Boris being the champion of Brexit, any decline in his personal popularity is not going to help the the cause he supports.

Doesn't mean we can't still express contrary opinions.
