No, it's just a local revolt against HS2 spoiling their house prices. Still waiting for you to wake up to the reality of Brexit and a massive Tory majority, Ade...  I wonder when Starmer, who's turned out to be a dead loss, will get replaced by Andy wotsit, mayor of Manchester? He'd make a great job of it. A city mayor becoming PM - what could possibly go wrong? I have woken up to it. In fact, I was awake to it before the nightmare began. Hopefully, others will wake up to it rather than continually follow lies, reignition of the same argument to hide reality etc. Mayor as PM🤣🤣🤣 |

It did not take a genius to work out what would happen (anyone who has worked in business or has a basic understanding of economics could have foretold this), but some gullible people were convinced by an alliance of privileged people who wanted to hide their taxes from the EU. |

The thing that pisses me off the most about the government is their glib response to any and every criticism. This usually takes one or both of two paths:
" We are working night and day to solve these issues..."
Or
"We are spending billions of pounds to manage this crisis"
Well bollix to that. Anyone can say what they are doing (though working night and day is a pathetic euphemism to make it look like they are busy). What really matters is what is the IMPACT of what they are doing and (vaccination programme excepted), we hear precious little of what all this work/money is actually doing.
In the real world, have done lots of shortlisting work, sifting job applications for interviews and anything that only says what they've done, with no evidence of its impact, goes straight in the bin.

As the parent of 2 NHS front line workers, I am enormously proud of their efforts over the past 18 months.
Exhausted for so much of the time, they have given their all for the communities where they serve.
Their reward comes from giving to and caring from thankful patients, clearly not from the government and its derisory 1% pay award.
So disgusting.
