I would like to believe that the funding has been distributed on the basis of ignorance and stupidity, because the alternative influencers are very, very dark

How 'Kent' teams do (£/spectator/month):
(1 Boreham Wood £116)
7 Dover £76
26 Tonbridge £49
29 Welling £48
35 Bromley £42
47 Fleet £31
53 Dartford £25
63 Stones £20
(68 York £13)
Data taken from Bullnews spreadsheet in Raymondo's post (above). Money rounded up/down. Top and bottom (non-Kent) shown for reference.

BW fans worth nearly NINE times as much as York fans?
Bromley fans worth more than twice Stones fans?
Dover (Dover!) fans worth nearly FOUR times what Stones fans are??
Other than back-handers, or favours being called in - or just bat-shit crazy, drug-induced, lunacy - I fail to see ANY logic in this distribution. Just WTF is it based on??

I can see a huge problem appealing this. The teams in the National league are not going to support any motion that takes away the money they have been given and I reckon 75% of the NLS & NLN teams will make a profit so no support there. This leaves ,let's say, 11 teams against and 56 teams in favour, we dont stand a chance in hell of getting this overturned. We is screwed especially if the whole season remains supporterless because any further assistance will undoubtedly use the same formula. I knew we should have withdrawn before the league started . We have a squad that looks like it could compete with the best but do we gamble on promotion at the expense of a huge loss or cut costs immediately?. I am glad I dont have to make these decisions.

I fear you're right. But I don't think the option of withdrawing is realistic now, for the same reasons. We could easily be in a minority of one and the league might deside that a withdrawal is tantamount to a resignation. I say go hell for leather for promotion, we've got the best squad we've had in years and there's a real buzz around this team, let's take advantage of it, and the mess the rest of the league is probably in. Let's get out of the NS and back to where we belong. Of course, that's easy for me to say, I'm not paying fot it. But, if we don't take advantage of this squad that Hak's put together, we might as well 'withdraw', because this season's going to be a complete waste of time otherwise. Although, once the virus intensifies down here - which is bound to happen - we can probably kiss the season goodbye anyway. One positive test in either squad and the match is off. We've been lucky so far, but it can't stay that way. At best, we're going to have frequent postponements, and a huge backlog of games building up, at worst, the season will collapse into chaos and be abandoned.

The northern premier league are already talking about possibly suspending their league for 6 weeks and then splitting it in 2 to get the league finished by the end of May

By a quick and dirty calculation Boreham Wood will be receiving 66% more than their average gate receipts. 85k / 800 fans is just over £100 per fan. Allowing (generously) for 3 home games a month at £20 per fan that equates to £40 extra against an expected total of £60. Anyway you look at it, profiteering from government/lottery handouts sounds like fraud to me. And Boreham Wood are by far the biggest winners out of the 66 from this lottery. Is it a coincidence that that their local MP is CMS minister responsible?

HM Government simply won't entertain any appeal, waste of time, look at where attempts to play hard ball got Andy Burnham in Manchester.....

Astonishing - and it would have to be Boreham Wood getting the lion's share. As if they need it anyway. Whoever worked this process out is either inept beyond belief, or there are some underhand dealings going on. On the practical side of things, the suggestion on the Chelmsford page of supporting development squad games when the first team are away seems a good one. Footy fix and a couple of grand in the club kitty. Will not be live streaming away games, if available, for any club getting more than their fair share. They should not benefit from away support money when they are already getting plenty.

For the Development Squad Games, we need someone like sword to do the meet & greet at the gate, easy lines to remember, ' Welcome to the G, hope you enjoy the chance to watch the future MUFC playing in front of you, and by the way, you tight fisted c&%*s, put £ 10 in that bucket, or you'll wake up with a headache .... ' Thanks for the compliment but I'm afraid the club wouldn't allow such a thing, more's the pity. I will catch a development game soon but alas I have already made my plans for Bexhill Utd v Billingshurst this Saturday.

It seems that Oliver is demanding an FA enquiry into this farcical situation, well good luck Oliver as the FA invented the word farce.

Terry Casey has opened up on the subject and has all but called it pure corruption at it's very worst.

Terry ask supporters to consider whether the carve-up constitutes an abuse of power, conflict of interest or stupidity.
Don't very often disagree with Terry, but on this occasion I think I will
Cause the actions constitute all those descriptions, not just one or two of them, plus a few more besides !
