I didn't watch the Hemel stream (as a season ticket holder) because I prefer live football, especially non-league. So I missed a cracker sitting in front of my computer screen in my study; on the other hand, I saw a cracker sitting in the fresh air, as Chatham beat Croydon 8 - 3 (my highest aggregate score ever) in the SCEFL, with 300+ others. No doubt others are like minded, as mentioned previously on here. Correction. 1078, including season ticket holders. Guess we still count them if they don’t attend.

That's pretty good - better than I expected. As an attendance, that would put us 7th in last season's NS. And 22nd in the NL - above Fleet and only just under Dover!

Decent bit of income, as well - £7.50 x 600 is £4,500. Add in the ST income - at a guess around £105k - and that's equivalent to just under £10k per home game.
That's a lot less than our usual gate income, which must be around £30k (incl STs), but still a decent amount (especially when you factor in much lower match-day costs), and, coupled with whatever we get from the government/Lottery, should get us through the season* without too much debt building up.
Well done STV!
(*usual Covid caveats apply...)

The trouble is how will this impact on our share of the bail out money, they may decide we dont need too much and deduct all this from the figure we were due to get from the fund and give give it someone else. We would be better off surely not making any money at all

Pretty much any other way of doing it has problems, with certain clubs having 'additional' sources of money.

Maybe the bankrolled clubs shouldn’t receive a penny.

Maybe the bankrolled clubs shouldn’t receive a penny. Clubs like Stockport County paying 75k for John Rooney sure as hell shouldn't be getting any government bailouts. Dagenham were another one signing a top forward (Paul McCallum) on a rumoured 2-3 grand a week. It was obvious to pretty much everyone that teams should be cutting back in the summer, yet some clubs just went on massive spending sprees and then suddenly wanted a bailout to help cover the costs.

Not working too well for D&R at the moment...

Maybe the bankrolled clubs shouldn’t receive a penny. Not sure I follow the logic of that. Don't bankrolled clubs have paying fans? All clubs are suffering a loss of revenue due to circumstances beyond their control. As long as the grant is distributed fairly based on average attendances it doesn't matter what other sources of income clubs have.

Mr Ash seems to disagree with you. Looks like the bankrolled clubs got the most.

Mr Ash seems to disagree with you. Looks like the bankrolled clubs got the most. No he's not disagreeing with me. I never said bankrolled clubs should get more, simply that it should be based on attendances, which was what was being suggested, whatever ended up being implemented. In fact when Oliver tweeted yesterday that he believed that was what would happen I expressed my sceptisism and unfortunately have been proven right.

Just tried that myself. Looks like we were variously up against Wimble, Wimbledon or Winbourne on Tuesday and apparently Scotland missed a penalty against whichever one it was. Scotland don’t miss penalties 😬 Scotland, still don’t miss penalties
