With the hybrid model of oldies and u23s do we think we will ever have players who stay with the Stones for 200 or 300 games as we have in the past? I don't even know who our longest serving player is.. Lewington?

Come on Weymouth. Can't have the darts getting promoted. Horrible club. So singing a song about the Gills is ridiculous but sitting there with our anti-Darts voodoo doll is ok...got it

We're in the same league as Dartford so have a reasonable excuse to dislike them. We were in the same league as Gills for 3 seasons almost 30 years ago. Singing anti Gills songs makes us look like the cringy little boy crying cos he can't sit at the big boys' table.

I could be wrong but I am assuming Dartford are still a part time club and if so it shows what good semi pros can achieve if they work hard and play for the shirt. The last three seasons all we have had is a revolving door of professional nobodies here to fleece us of our money whilst not giving a tuppeney f**k about the club, with one or two exceptions. If this theory is true then how do you explain Elliott Romain? Couldn't hit a barn door for us but is Dartfords leading scoring. Me thinks it might be more down to how a player is managed rather than if they are Full time or Part time. Always is - There are value adding managers and then there are the others. Those that make more with less are the best.

Dartford have far more reasons to dislike us than vice versa.

Dartford have far more reasons to dislike us than vice versa. They hate Dover even more, could be 2 interesting games next year if they beat Weymouth.

Yeovil and Weymouth were 5 divisions apart in 2013/4 - they hate each other too. Interesting shout about some of the original APL teams rising back to the top (law of averages, make 13000 posts and a couple of them will be worth reading ) Another "back to earth with a bump" team next season will be Watford - one minute they're beating Liverpool 3-0, the next they'll be renewing rivalries with their enemy Luton Town, and making the 20-mile journey to Wycombe for the 1st time ever. Meanwhile Barrow and Carlisle haven't met since 1964. @jdl I imagine this was a walk in the park for you? www.sporcle.com/games/bsc1892/all-time-national-league-teams

Quite zen in its own way. Don't tempt me with NL stats, Oxford, you know not what you risk...

It was our chairman that ruined them. You are bound to dislike someone who keeps ramming the truth down your throat...

It was our chairman that ruined them. You are bound to dislike someone who keeps ramming the truth down your throat... No it's much more rational than that. The ground is a sterile soulless monstrosity and we hardly ever beat them. On whether our chairman ruined them, well they can't carry on claiming that at the same time as insisting we are a new club with no history.
