Last season was a mix of experience and youth and it achieved mid table. So what does that tell you ?

Big George posts on Instagram about “know your worth” I’m reading into that... I reckon we have offered him a reduced contract and he thinks he is worth more than we are willing to pay! That or he is just had a rare moment of thinking to much!!

We need to invest in youth. Why? Players will be on 1 year contracts so what’s the point? Get the best players you can regardless of age.

Regional and local leagues probably easier to start, especially as local cricket already allowed. When you think about it, a hundred people or so on either touchline comes within the one metre rule, especially outdoors. Boreham Wood ok then. However, still have to factor in hygiene, toilets, refreshments etc. For all the talk about whether it can be made safe or not, leagues restarting will be as much about economics. Unless there is enough income to pay the bills, many clubs will be wary of committing. There might even be a scenario where moneybags owners at various levels form their own breakaway leagues. Ok, maybe not, but dafter things have happened when money talks.

So, Bojo announces outdoor stadium spectator sports from 1st October. Provisional of course, especially in Leicester and Blackburn you'd think, but light at the end of the tunnel, hopefully. Presumably, fixture lists will be created in due course.

Saturday October 3rd would be the obvious start date. Two games per week most weeks with the season finishing in May. Fingers crossed.

They're still going to have to get rid of some matches aren't they - I'd axe some or all of these for a season:
FA Trophy County Cups League Cups Vase teams in FA Cup (just give them all some compensation prize money - £5K each would only be £1.75m which they can take off the later rounds prize money from teams who won't miss it.
This is all subject to approval by nws, JDL, Sennockian and hongkongstone of course. When they say it's a terrible idea and we're all going to die, I'm sure Boris will have a plan B.

Boris or Harry for either PM or manager of Stones is a fairly close call in my book.
But onto more pressing matters, I'm getting the feeling about those 2 nailed on signings.
Big George and Noah, it just ain't happening.
Be happy to be proved wrong, but no news is not a good sign at this stage.

One benefit of COVID-19 is that we are still holders of the Kent Senior Cup.. and could be for another year if this is scrapped again :-) :-)

We will wear masks. I don't have a veto - others have - in particular - that nasty honey badger virus.
