National League clubs told they will receive emergency grant from government www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/54352735"The size of any grant is yet to be confirmed, but BBC Sport understands the league is hoping for around £2-3m per month." Yeah, lets see if it's anything near that number... If it's £2.5m you can guarantee only half of that (tops) will be for the 43 Nat N / S sides. £1,250,000 / 43 = ~£29,000 a month. Enough to make any difference?

it will make a difference to clubs not bankrolled by owners but who rely on crowds and are sustainable.. and that is what the money is there for. I think this is a season clubs just need to survive one way or the other. Thoughts and prayers with players' agents at this very difficult time...

Some fabulous research on twitter re NLS , crowds and capacities: /photo/1 As I have said on many occasions on here 600 minimum could and should be allowed at NL level. That would also stop us as taxpayers also stumping out funding these 600 that could attend each match. I know working out who the 600 would be is difficult, but common sense please prevail for the tax payer. 600 potentially allowed at Hendon. None at a bigger or safer Gallagher stadium. Beggars belief for the umpteenth time.

Par for the course with this goverment. Beggaring belief is what they do best. Over the pond though, takes things to another level...

The amount of rain forecast in Tonbridge this week it would be immensely funny if we get the go ahead and Tonbridge is waterlogged .

News ! News !
' Ollie Bayliss @ollie_Bayliss · 6m The Government has publically assured the National League that it will receive financial support.
Clubs across the 3 divisions now eagerly await details & figures.
They’ll hope to get those confirmed ahead of Saturday so they can begin the season with some financial certainty. '
Well, not exactly the detail we were waiting for ......

The odd thing is that roughly half the clubs in the NS would expect av home attendances below 600 (based on last season and taking into account lack of away supporters). So they are effectively getting free money.

It's also across all three divisions so clubs in the premier won't get preferential treatment.

Probably not, I'd guess the NL is responsible for distributing the cash. Yes, I know, that's almost as unlikely as the government getting it right.
