Yet more updates from the excellent Mr Bayliss:
' Ollie Bayliss @ollie_Bayliss · 11m It’s understood that some Fan Pilot Events will go ahead in September with a limit of 1,000.
It was planned that 10,000 fans would attend the FA Trophy & FA Vase finals on September 27th.
Wider plans for the return of fans to stadiums from October will now be ‘reviewed’. '

Just watched the 'Catching up with Simon and Kane' video - well worth a watch. They have six under 23s training one day a week with the first team, so perhaps we'll see the youngsters do more than just warm the bench this year?
It would be great to see some of them break through into the first team. After Clowngate and all the journeymen we've seen come and go over recent seasons, it would be good to see some continuity. The club needs to be 'grounded' more than it has been recently - we need something more to support than just the name of the club and our sense of loyalty.

There was also mention of some planned 'incentives' - presumably to get fans down to watch U23 games? An excellent idea, especially this season. I only wish I had a less full-on non-football life, I'd love to have the time to go down to JWW every time there was a game on...

Is that "reviewed" in a good sense or a bad one? I guess its in the ' leave enough wriggle room ' sense, but never a good phrase to see.

Just received an email about main stand STs stating that they will try and keep family groups together, and also asking for names of people you regularly sit with so they can create bubbles. I guess that would be a way to increase the covid capacity of the main stand.
Only problem is I don't actually know the names of most of the people I sit with.

Not sure if this is next season, last season or what, but finals of 2019 / 20 Trophy & Vase now postponed - inevitable, but not good news:
' Ollie Bayliss @ollie_Bayliss · 16m BREAKING:
The finals of the FA Trophy & FA Vase have been postponed.
Both were due to be played as a 'Fan Pilot Event' at Wembley on September 27th. '

I replied to this as I pay for 4 seats each season for direct familiy members (wife and sons)- The seats are £45, which up till this weeks Max of 6 announcement i was happy to pay, but surely, given the press conference- is Oct 3rd a bit..optimistic?

I wouldn't worry, Dave - they all know who you are!

With respect Dave, if you don't know them well enough to know their names, they can't be in your bubble ? A bubble is for life, not purely for football......

Dave has a point though. You sit/stand next to the same person for a few weeks, get chatting, greet each other at games - but by then it's too late to ask their name... I 'knew' dozens of people at LR/Dartford for 10 years, but the only names I knew were Angela and Elvis. And 'Elvis' wasn't actually his name!

I know quite a few on this forum by sight, and to chat to, but mostly I only know them by their forum name, or in some cases their first name. Presumably for the club to put you in a bubble the need first and last names.

Interesting that West Ham v Arsenal ( at Dagenham ) in the WSL will let in up to 1,000 punters tonight - the only event above step 2 to do so in London today as a ' pilot ' . www.bbc.co.uk/sport/live/football/53999952

Roord with another hat trick and miedema with two. West hams under 18s also got beat at home to spurs u18s 1-4, so come on the Geordies to give west ham a clean sweep of defeats.
