Sadly, next season may now be in doubt again. The latest announcements about Lockdown suggest we have reached the limits of what can be reopened, especially as spectators at trial events for cricket, horse racing and now world snooker, are effectively banned. A while to go before October, of course, but without a vaccine and/or effective treatment, then governments generally can only allow so much. There is even talk about trading kids going to school v pubs opening. Strange times indeed.

Seems like Hak may be signing one or two more players from last season's squad. Noah Chesmain probably a favourite. Also, he sounds very positive about new signings, maybe by this time next week, another 2/3 players will be signed up.

You’d like to think the government would be initiating some sort of relief fund. Something like this each home game (Average attendance over the past 3 seasons - new COVID capacity) x ticket entry price + 5%. But even at 15% capacity, surely this is better than nothing? We are paying the players already, presumably? Funded by more money printing then.

It's an absolute craphole for away fans. Bloody slog up the hill then crammed in like Prisoner Cell block H, with a shit view of thick metal stantions. We were last there Boxing Day 2018, so all of the above issues + the fact that a few fans were full of Xmas sprouts & produced the most appalling stench in the away silo. Crap absolutely ! Oh God - that brought back memories I had hoped I had suppressed... The frequent 'snatch' raids for no apparent reason added to the 'atmosphere' too. Not to mention the 'catering'. The only advantage of which was that it took so long to get served that at least it got you out into the 'fresh' air for a while. Although, finally getting served and discovering vegetarian options were unknown to Dover's finest, just put the cap on the whole day. And, of course, that slip and slide up the hill - f**k alone knows what that's like in the snow and ice. Sorry, Dover fans, but as long as that Canute is in charge, I hope you go bust get relegated to Kent County League, Div 4*. (*Or whatever it's called these days.)

We lockdown and successfully defeat Johny virus, in true British spirit, then open the pubs again, go on holiday, sit crammed 6 to a row on planes, and the bastard bloody virus has the nerve to come back again! It's almost as if we only managed to stop it spreading rapidly and it was still out there, just waiting for us to drop our guard again. I can't believe this though, because surely Winston Churchil Fuckwit Johnston would have known all that? Don't want to shit in the paddling pool, but it's looking like Sennockian and I could be right about this 'season'. (Moral - when Sennockian and JDL agree on something, be afraid, very afraid.)

This time it is no wishy washy car park rumour or even intelligence gleaned from the Tescos check out queue. This is for real. 100% guaranteed (nearly). Players are being lined up. Signings are 'just around the corner' My prediction that swordy should put his shirt on. By this time next week a minimum of 3 new signings and there could easily be more !
