The news is now suggesting that social distancing could be with us for a year. Sometimes at current levels, ie schools closed etc, sometimes less. On that basis we will do well to get this season finished, never mind start the next one. Stones may have looked like a bunch of amateurs this season, but that is all we might have in prospect if things continue that way... It's hardly surprising that people are stripping the supermarkets like locust when the government is allowing statements like that to be put out. Tell you what Boris, if you don't want people to panic then try setting an example and stop scaremongering.

I think the next few weeks are gonna be hard work for me and probably include a covid scare or two or maybe the real thing. We can do this! I ain't been a fan of this government but they do seem to be having a go at present. Maybe society will realise that things don't have to be the way they have been. if the Tory party realises it as well who knows. If we all recognise that we don't need to produce loads of rubbish that ain't required etc ect and wreck our planet then bonus! 15 hours weeks and guaranteed living standards here we come!

Boris is a let down - not something I thought I'd ever write. With his persona, rhetoric, and turn of phrase, I thought he'd revel in all this. When it first started, I thought "oh f**k, this is his Falklands moment - we've got him for 15 years!", but so far it's a shambles.
Yesterday's news conference really showed him up. The Chancelor (whose name I can't even remember!) did the 'Churchil' speech that Johnson should have done, and then there was a pause and an inarticulate, mumbling, bloke took over and clearly had no idea what to say. It was painful to listen to.
It will be interesting to see how this pans out for him - it's going to be make or break - and at the moment the jury is very much still out.

As a lifelong Tory voter (although not ideologically so), I never wanted him as leader, and will not be voting for them again until he's gone. Just not leadership material, no real vision, just reacts to circumstances much like Trump.

Well I would rather be facing this situation with Boris in charge of us, then having Corbyn an Abbot in charge. Could you imagine the panic them two would generate, although I did hear that Abbots idea to help the situation was to cancel all filming of Holby City and Casualty so the doctors an nurses could help at the hospitals.

Well we have bad actors in government so why not in hospitals. This could catch on. I hear The Magic Roundabout is on standby for this forum. Zebedee, will be me, JDL is played by Dougal, Dylan will be Dave U, Mr Rusty will be Sword and Florence will be that meerkat guy. We just need a slow character for Brian the snail to play. Who fits the bill on here?

BBC currently showing highlights of old FA cup matches. Better than nothing, indeed, better than much of our last two seasons. Hopefully Stones players and management are studying the set pieces. They may just learn something!

They may just learn something! There's a feast of old Stones stuff on You Tube. Moments I've forgotten, players I've forgotten - wonderful memmories (or not!). I only wish we'd had Stones TV etc back in the 80s and 90s - the quality of film/TV from that era is dire, and, of course, most of it was never filmed.

If you have ever had the misfortune to deal with Alex de Pfeffel then you will realise that the adjective 'chancer' was created for him. He is notorious for not reading briefs and making it up as he goes along - even his own office once admitted to me not to spend too much time on a 500 word brief, "just focus on the first paragraph as he never reads past that". Apparently, the National League Board are now going to meet shortly

His time as Mayor of London certainly supports that!
