Sword please be sensitive to the 'fact' that when you talk about the supporters diminishing respect for John and Hakan, you are just expressing your opinion of managers. You dont have the right to claim you are the supporters voice, you certainly don't speak for me or any other supporter that I have spken to on the subject.

There are clearly personnel issues that need to be dealt with by our two managers. Preferably privately. Anyone can be a hardman boss, shouting and yelling, expecting perfection. It's a hundred times harder to manage someone with issues and potential, and then bring the best out of them over a period of time. This season, I won't be judging John and Hakan by league position, but by how they mould this young, sometimes inexperienced, squad. Longer term, maybe we need a more local and experienced professional squad of players. Or the three tardy players could be encouraged to house share in town, rather than commuting 90 minutes. So we rightly weren’t judging the management team last season yet this season with their own players we are still not judging. Righto That is literally not what I said.

Why should the owners do that? Most of the clubs at this level won’t get promoted. Why should our owners up sticks if we don’t? If they dont or can,t invest any more money which we can all see is clearly needed then for the benefit of the club it might be better if they stepped aside an let others take over financing the club. I still don’t get your point of view that investment is clearly needed? Why is that?

You dont have the right to claim you are the supporters voice, you certainly don't speak for me or any other supporter that I have spken to on the subject. Maybe, just maybe I talk to more people than you ,and I never said that it was my opinion. I have nothing but deep respect for JS2 but HH has yet to earn my respect so he cannot diminish what he has yet to attain. The only beef I have is the fact that JS2 brought it into the public domain about the absent 3 players and that now puts extra pressure on what decision they make next. I feel it would have been better to do what they had to do first and then explain their actions if needed. I have never said I am the voice of the supporters and certainly never wish to be but not all supporters are members of this forum but their views deserve to be considered by those that are. Of all the people I have spoken to on the subject of our management I would say around 20% have lost all confidence in them ,should those figures count for the rest of the support then we have around 300-350 disillusioned fans. As for me, after last year anything is an improvement. Addendum:If you look back at my post pre season I advocated giving the dynamic duo a whole season to sort the club out and put it back on track, my views have not changed half way through but what I will say is that I thought they would have done better than they have. I still maintain we will reach the playoffs though I truly wish that we dont win them. We were not ready to go up first time and we are even less ready now.

The currently perceived problems of poor attitudes from some of the squad have now been brought to a head by JS naming and shaming the tardy trio. When such things are brought out into the open, it suggests such problems have been going on for a while and management feel there is no option but to go public. What happens next could be pivotal. Being named so publicly like that may have the desired effect of improving attitudes among the threesome, equally, it may already have been their last chance and we shall not see them again in a Maidstone shirt. Either way, management now has to be open about what happens next, or rumours will persist. Maybe we have already seen the impact on the team, knuckling down as they did in the second half on Tuesday. If, heaven forbid, management had lost the trust of the team, then a total thrashing by Dartford was on the cards. That didn't happen, so at least there is a majority of the squad still with some personal integrity. Oxford on Saturday therefore the next test. Will the trio be gone by then, pending offers, will they sit on the naughty step for a while, or do they get the final chance to prove themselves? Suspect the latter is highly unlikely, but how the team that is picked behave will certainly be under close scrutiny. It is one thing to have a poor game, but not making enough effort is unacceptable and we can presumably tar Justin Edwards with that brush too? Heaven forbid if the team attitude is poor, as that would point to management having lost the dressing room. A half decent win, with Chiesmain and Johnson back would certainly ease a few tensions at the moment.

As with others, I wonder whether people have actually remembered last year? I'm a STH and missed two or so home games, one of which was the win against Barrow in, I think, August. There wasn't a home league win again until April. In between we had about 60 players, of whom over 20 must have been loans. There was five or six goalkeepers? Michael Phillips won player of the year, and I may be a little unkind here, but as far as I can see it was based on the fact that he was the only player who played through the season (WDH was dropped for some time and Blair was injured for much of it).
As I don't think I've seen anyone who was obviously a better side, the disappointment this season has been the fact that we've given away so many late goals and are not in the play-off positions.

This season has certainly been a wake up call for many fans, did not expect the club to be struggling against the bulk of the teams in the NLS. We should have the playing ability to put aside the likes of Dorking Hemel Hempsted an many others yet we often do struggle, maybe the owners need to look at themselves during the close season an decide they either put up more money or say goodbye an open the door for someone else to take over, as it,s clearly harming the moral of the club continuing like we are. Jb you usually sway in the sensible side if things but this post is just one of them stupid premier league whinging. If the owners go who is going to replace them, we, to my knowledge have had no investors come forward, who are Terry and Oliver going to sell the club to? If Terry and Oliver put more money in what does it do to their personal finances would it put them at financial risk and then require the loans to them by the club are paid back quicker which in turn puts the club in financial crisis. I never understand any football fan demanding the owners leave, well if they do leave where is the money going to come from it would bankrupt the team complete dumb arse response from fans imo. If on the other hand there was a consortium trying to buy the team the i can understand fans supporting the sale if the team to a consortium but again to my knowledge we do nit have that. Yes i hate seeing piss poor performances and yes things do not seem rosey and something needs to happen to rectify this but as i am not involved in the day to day running of the team i am unsure of what the change is that needs to happen, speaking to other fans they want the manager fine others want us to revert to part time but remember what happened last time we had a bunch of fans demanding thus and that everyone's favourite manager got cut and we haven't had a wheeler revolving door. The club Imo needs some stability needs to find an identity and needs to find some clear objections and targets for moving forward, our fanbase is split between people wanting to go back to the days of Kent league and others wanting promotion to national league and league football. At the moment i think we'd all agree for a team that shows up every week and gives it their all win lose or draw, i think that would start pulling everyone in one direction but at the moment we seem to be drifting through without any real direction. Jdh The point I was trying to put across is maybe an it is just a maybe by Terry an Oliver sticking around it might put possible investors off, the club might become more appealing to an investor if they both stepped down allowing the right person to take over, because any new investor would have to accept that they would always have control between them democratically no matter how much was invested. I dont demand they leave but just feel it may benefit the club if they stepped aside for any new owners for the better of the club. I hope that makes it clearer mate.

I still don’t get your point of view that investment is clearly needed? Why is that? The owners have made it clear we cannot afford to play beyond the NLS so that is why investment is needed, sure ly you would want the club to play as high as they can or are you happy to just sit in the lower leagues an have the NLS as the highest you will ever reach. I think we always have to aim for the highest point.

Not sure wht the owners are getting stick. They gave us a budget and to the best of my knowledge we have gone over it but I have yet to hear either owner publicly moan about that fact.

Given that T&O have been very open about their own limitations in terms of bankrolling further ground development and a team that can consistently compete in the NL, perhaps there just aren't very many wealthy individuals who want to takeover a NLS side?

We were bloody lucky to get Oliver and then Terry. Without them we wouldn't have anything. So let's have an end to all this nonsense. Things clearly aren't right at the moment. We cocked up big time with going full-time and sacking Jay, and the club is still suffering the after shocks of all that. After 5 brilliant years, we finally hit reality and are now just dealing with the normal stuff that all clubs go through. Eventually it will sort itself out, but for now let's just be very grateful we've got a club - and a superb stadium - to argue about.

Be grateful for what we have, rather than look for people who probably don't exist anyway, and who don't have the best interests of the club at heart as T&O have shown.
