We were bloody lucky to get Oliver and then Terry. Without them we wouldn't have anything. So let's have an end to all this nonsense. Things clearly aren't right at the moment. We cocked up big time with going full-time and sacking Jay, and the club is still suffering the after shocks of all that. After 5 brilliant years, we finally hit reality and are now just dealing with the normal stuff that all clubs go through. Eventually it will sort itself out, but for now let's just be very grateful we've got a club - and a superb stadium - to argue about. That was meant to be the point. Be grateful for what we have, rather than look for people who probably don't exist anyway, and who don't have the best interests of the club at heart as T&O have shown. Sorry, wasn't disagreeing with you, just added my post to yours by accident!

So your happy with the way things are then Dave are you? Not with the overall performance but with the owners, yes. But then I'm a real supporter and not a glory hunter. Dave do not embarrass yourself by quoteing me as a glory hunter, not sure what glory I have achieved by following Maidstone home an away to almost every game with my son season after season, some of us do not select a few games per season to go an watch them, or claim to be a better supporter because they buy a season ticket. I voiced an opinion Dave based on my beliefs not what I see through amber tinted spectacles. So explain what you are happy with about the owners this season because I think they have under achieved with the budget and the squad they have watched being built, after last seasons rubbish you would expect them to have had a greater involvment.

I suspect the owners are as worried as some of us - especially as we are still over budget on wages.
But what can they do? They can't exactly say anything publicly about the team or the managers. And, after last season, I imagine the last thing they're going to do is consider bringing in a different manager! Nor can they find a magic money tree to bring in new players.
They just have to sit tight and hope things work out - like the rest of us. And then, mabe, have a rethink in the summer. Clearly, Plan A isn't working too well at the moment - but 8th with games in hand isn't exactly a calamity either.
And that's the odd thing about this season - to many of us it feels like things aren't going too well, but people will look back and see where the team is in the table (especially if we do make the playoffs), and wonder what all the fuss was about.

Spot on Jakeyboi that’s exactly the situation, especially from us who go all the time we’re saying the same thing .

The trouble with just sitting tight an hoping for the best Jdl is that the owners have to be the ones who show determination an ambition in abundance because if they portray this image where they seem happy an contented with just plodding along in mid table of this league with no desire to get any higher we as a club will always struggle to find players who apart from being talented also match the owners in determination an desire to improve.

You've expressed an opinion, and you're entitled to have it. But I "go all the time" and, unsurprisingly for those who know me, I'm not of the same opinion.

Yes, things are better. The entitlement of football fans is absolutely ridiculous, imagine advocating any other business owner to run their company unsustainably just because of you want as a customer. Absurd. Be thankful we're today not announcing nearly 2 million quids worth of loses like Chesterfield....
The owners are actively looking for investment / to sell the club but only if the right person comes along. And for the suggestion that they get heavily involved in the first team affairs? If you believe they should be telling the management who to play/who to sell/who to buy you're thick, simple as that.
Would much rather be in this league, win more games than we lose than go through the last season and a half of our national league tenure.
No point in getting rid of the management team now, but by all means reassess at the end of the season. See who's available to come in and act accordingly, not make a rash decision like last year. we all saw how that played out.

Yeah. We are seeing it now I'm not the biggest fan of John and Hakan, but i'd still give them to the end of the season. Don't want someone else to come in, decide this team isn't for him and then proceed to buy / loan in 20 more players.

I wouldn't expect them to go anywhere unless we were hovering about the bottom 2 anyway.
I imagine at the end of the season we will be able to have the full picture in terms of where we are in our rebuild. I think as long as we are challenging for playoffs the season will be considered a success. I think the biggest issue we will have is despite being a season to rebuild we will probably be in the same position for summer as I can imagine a fair number of the squad not being here.

If so I think it’ll be a bleak future. Only my opinion

Wow. What a riveting conversation. The team is rubbish sack the manager. No they're not, give them time. You're wrong. I have a right to my opinion. Repeat ad nauseum, season after season...

If the budget is so small then surely we cannot afford 2 managers and a coach as well so something or someone has to go.
