That is a very good point maybe I'll go after all. Its a sarcastic point, Sword. There is a BIG difference between putting the kids out for a KSC tie just to avoid using first teamers with no intention of ever promoting those kids into the first team and actually having a genuine homegrown youth development policy that sees that home grown talent in real games...……..its the latter we want to see, not the former. Love a bit of sarcasm but as the weather is set fair I might bite the bullet and part with £10 ,then again?

You might not ! Fact us we have a great under 23 side of local talent that regularly attracts around 100 or more spectators who are mostly friends and family. When a particular poster says 'we want' he should say 'I want'.

No I am in a fairly good mood at the moment so I might turn up along with a couple of hundred diehards and cheer whomever wears the black and amber.

Swerving this one...I probably would of gone if it was covered by the ST but don’t fancy spending extra on what probably will be the kids Odd really, in another thread you read posts about the club needing to recruit and select young, local footballers, but given the chance the prospect of that turns off most supporters. I’ve not made any of those direct quotes so I think your mistaking me with someone else

Not a mistake hammerstone, just laziness on my part.
Your post just happened to be handy to follow up on at the time, I sort of agree with you
Another 'school of thought' thinks the club should major on recruiting local youngsters for the first X1.
Fact is we already have a really good locally based Under 23 team for those who are interested.

So when a "particular poster" said what "we want" he should have said "another school of thought" . Is that better, Nick?

We are off to Ramsgate tonight and have already announced we will field a full academy side, with no squad first teamers. Many of us are thinking "thank God, at least we might get a result".

Another late marathon journey back from Pembury hospital for me, so very doubtful that I shall be there How do you get home? Take the 6X bus from TW hospital to Maidstone hospital then jump inthe 3 to town and it only takes 50 minutes That is what I do as a general rule, but then I have to battle through town to get the last bus back to madginford at 18.10, on my crutches, walker boot and carrying the meds etc.

Friggin' COLD. But the crowd is actually slightly bigger than I expected. That said, it is still shit - main stand is less than a quarter full, TE is practically empty, EE is shut - so I've no idea where the hoards of Darts fans are. No doubt there are 1500 supporters in the bar, who are about to flood out and fill up the empty spaces...

Looks like an almost first team side. Don't recognise 20 and 14, but otherwise it's mostly who you'd expect (or not).
Dartford have a f**king DRUM!!
Missing 1500 have mysteriously failed to materialise. I'd guess the 'crowd' at little more than 200.

First goal to Darts on 32. Been coming for a while. We've had our chances (but failed to convert, as per), but most of the pressure's been from Dartford.

Well, that was fun. Just before half time the game moved from mildly annoying into total chaos. And we went in 4 yellows and red down.
Don't ask me why or how, but shit refereeing probably had more than a little to do with it.
14 replaced by 17, who hopefully will do more. 14 started off ok, but faded so much I forgot he was on the pitch.

I called it right on the crowd then. I’ll go for 1-3 Darts with 137 left in the ground by final whistle - mainly Darts fans or Stones fans in the Spitfire.

17 didn't look bad, but gets subbed after just 20 mins!
