Seing Hess name mentioned reminded me. A close mate with better contacts than me with the club reckons Hess is very well thought of by our owners

No sympathy with Jim but I get his point. I just wish that those people bemoaning the lack of investment in MUFC would dig deep and become joint owners.
Or do they mean they just want people rather than themselves to risk their childrens inheritance ?
Yea, right, that's goung to happen.

The same fans bemoaning him now are the same type that are calling our owners tight for not investing more of their own cash. This is what it looks like when an owner runs out of money or isn’t willing to bank roll it anymore. Let’s hope our owners are going to part with the club to the right people eventually. Again, I’d rather tread water while they find the right person than take the first offer and get a cowboy

There were chants again after D&G's goal went in on Saturday for the owners to leave. Pathetic.

Second bit of awful news for them this week. A man died in hospital after being run over outside the ground last Saturday.

Our first game back in the Kent league was there always left me with a soft spot for them as they were very welcoming and liked how we travelled in numbers.
Was a great clubhous hope with insurance they can get it rebuilt ASAP

Fingers crossed their insurance covers it as it's a brilliant place to watch football with a beer.

Devastating news for the club. They'll just have to move the bar back outside like they did in the Covid years, not ideal but at least your beer stays naturally chilled.

Awful news - and sobering too. Here we are celebrating our (potential) good fortune and dreaming dreams, and they're having to clear up the ashes and hope the insurance is enough. Easy to forget just how close to the edge most grassroots clubs are - even though, we, of all clubs, should know.
It would be good to have a collection for them at the next home game. Mind you, it would be even better if the clubs like Notts County, Chesterfield and Wrexham, who can't wait to buy their way out of this lowly, embarrassing, league, donated some of their good fortune to a club that needs it far more than they do.

Wells must be on their knees after this blow.
Such a decent club too.
