And...
If you allocate points for level reached, time at level, and av attendance, and apply a fiendishly complex mathematical formula, you get this highly reliable, and entirely objective, result:
Big Clubs:
Maidstone United Medium Clubs:
Bath City Welling United Weymouth Wealdstone Dartford Slough Town Small Clubs:
Braintree Town Eastbourne Borough Havant & Waterlooville Dulwich Hamlet Tiny Clubs:
Chelmsford City Billericay Town Dorking Wanderers St Albans City Tonbridge Angels Chippenham Town Hemel Hempstead Town Hampton & Richmond Borough Concord Rangers Oxford City Hungerford Town

With only two teams relegated this season from a league of 22 teams might our tally of 42 points reached today already be enough for safety ?

I don't know about that, but, following Wealdstone's victory today, Hungerford can no longer win the NS! Is the reason for only 2 relegations to increase the NS to 24 teams? Yes, I believe so.

I would add Bath City to the big clubs list, for having a stadium that meets/met EFL standards. And Dulwich for having EFL attendances, albeit in a Ryman ground.

Last 10 seasons - all (started) with 22 clubs - bottom 4 points are:
09/10 22 23 40 42 10/11 24 36 37 40 11/12 26 42 43 44 12/13 25 40 44 45 13/14 31 40 45 46 14/15 0 25 30 42 15/16 38 46 47 47 16/17 25 27 36 40 17/18 27 34 42 43 18/19 35 37 39 42

Similar inhabitants, so I understand. That's an insult to Canvey Islanders, they are far more intelligent, discerning and respectable. Next you'll be picking on the Isle of Sheppey!
