Not sure alcohol can be blamed for not being able to articulate a basic understanding of what you have been trying to change for the past 4 years and the reasons why. I fully accept that for many Brexit supporters it was an emotional argument based on some sense of getting back control, whatever that means and that it is very difficult to articulate emotions.
Anyway, we are officially out. I really hope the Brexit supporters were right and this is the dawning of a bright new era because it will be beyond frustrating if we end up with industry leaving and poorer trading terms with all of our major trading partners as the remainers have predicted all along. My emotional belief is that the Tory party over their decades of post-war rule - with only brief intermissions by Labour - will eventually have completed their unintended project of reducing Great Britain into England and Wales.
